I love it. Lots of things that I buy regularly at a reduced price. Things that have been discontinued that I love. Dog treats that are near bb dates that won’t last them 5 mins so no concerns over that. Every item on the website tells you the BB dates and you’re saving stuff going into land fill. The family are always excited to see what treasures will be in this months box. (I order monthly) plus I’ve had lots of discount vouchers so that pretty much covers the p&p although it’s not that expensive anyway. I’ve not had to wait longer than 7 working days and that was only because of a bank holiday. So I’m a happy customer. 5*

I ordered an amazing amount of food, drink and cleaning products for half the price of what I’d pay in the shop. My husband couldn’t believe how much I’d got for £50.00. It’s always exciting when the sturdy box turns up (mostly because I’ve forgotten exactly what I’ve ordered!) and it arrives quickly and safely. I’ve never had anything broken or that is stale. This is my third delivery and I will be making more in the future.

We've had 3 deliveries from Motatos now, all good size orders. First two were actually perfect, everything intact and well wrapped to protect. Today we received the third, part of the order was Belvita biscuits, which from a supermarket come foil wrapped in a box. The ten we bought (2 lots of 5) were all intermingled in their foil wrappers, with canned goods, bottles of shampoo and glass bottles wrapped in cardboard, so half were literally crushed to bits. There was a large penetrating perforation in the box, so it had obviously been mishandled by DPD. We ordered two Leffe beers, only one in the box though still charged for two and two in the packing email. Some cotton buds were crushed and burst open, and even a can of mojito had been crushed so badly it was slightly leaking (very slightly) but crushed at the top rendering the opening impossible. One of the shampoos had slightly leaked from being crushed, but fortunately hadn't contaminated anything else. So while I'm happy with the products, I'm not happy with the packing, so buyer beware if you are buying goods that may be damaged in transit. Canned stuff and glass stuff in general seems fine. We have contacted customer service and will update this review with the outcome.

I enjoy the price of Motatoes and their variety. As a consumer, it is my job to find the best deals for me, I usually shop on the store with a window open to my local grocery stores to compare prices. As I live in a semi-rural area, I enjoy the variety of goods that Motatoes offers as well as the standard fare. I also use Motatoes to buy foods my 93 year old father in law will enjoy, saving him a little money and time. While I've been a customer of Motatoes, they've improved packing a massive amount and when there's been any breakages, they've been quick to provide a refund. Generally I use Motatoes free shipping service who take a little longer to deliver, but that's the only non positive thing I can say. Kudos!

After seeing a lot of Advertisements about Motatos and reading how their business is helping the environment we decided to try them. We were amazed how many products they have on offer. You save money on every item and their all named brands. Within five days our order was delivered and we are very happy with all our ordered items. Quite a few items had good dates on them. If your looking to save money on your food shopping and are not bothered by some items passed the best before date then we highly recommend Motatos. We will be ordering a lot more.

I ordered 8 days ago and it still hasn't arrived, so my review isn't very positive. I need my order for a party tomorrow afternoon, and so if it doesn't arrive I will have to go out and buy elsewhere at last minute, which is a pain, and I haven't had a reply from customer service about when I can expect it. I was pleased to get some stuff on offer (like oat milk), but i feel the range available is mostly junk food, and so I'm unlikely to use this service again.

Prices are good obviously and it's nice to think that items that might be discarded are being bought and used. The time taken to order and dispatch could be improved and a 'being prepared /packed' update when checking orders would be good rather than stuck in processing. Along with a tracking number for when dispatched and perhaps an email or sms when dispatched. I think this is the only area of improvement that I could see really.

You sell the item I use at a lot cheaper rate than other places. I like this very much. You are also very reliable how you send things out and let me know if there is a delay. If the delay is longer than just a few days you send an extra voucher to use next time which I find really kind. I would recommend you to all my friends, family and work colleagues as I think you are a great company.

Great ethos of selling surplus stock to avoid landfill. Placed 4 orders so far. Usually arrives 7-8 working days so worth bearing in mind if you need things sooner. Have recommended to friends & family who are now using them too. Kudos to the packers who take skillful care in boxing up the orders. It generates a fair bit of brown paper & card but it's recyclable.

Some items were 8 months past their best before date, which was not on the description (some products do tell you bbd). Would not have bought if I had known were so old and they tasted stale. Also badly packaged so crisps were crushed and one packet was open. I love the concept and have no problem eating food a bit past the bbd, so I may give them another try.

Like the prices and the values behind the principle of saving food that is perfectly fine to consume. Don’t like that the packaging doesn’t reflect the amount of food that you order. All the boxes I have received so far have been 3/4 filled with paper packing. Must do better on that front. Definitely not helping the environment

I’ve had 4 deliveries now and each time it’s got better! What you have to factor in is that, for a really good price, you have to plan ahead and think of your store cupboard essentials- then you get a really good deal! I now do my Motatos shop- then top up at the supermarket. It doesn’t work the other way round!

Overall a good experience. An interesting selection of products. Most are very short dated (or even past best before), however everything I have tried as been perfectly fine. Excellent prices if you don't mind the dates. The only negative is the checkout, which has caused me several problems, but all resolved.

Everything I had ordered was in the boxes. I also found that I had a much longer BB date than expected - a great bonus! I ordered everything from household, practical items to delicious (too delicious?) treats. Honestly, I could have ordered much more, but as it was an experiment, I set myself a financial limit.

I had a lovely experience and got the products i wanted, shipped in a lovely amount of time and when i spoke to Sophie about an update she was very helpful and told me that my order would be shipped by the end of the day but it was a few hours later so i am very happy with the service and cant complain.

Great shopping experience great range of products great customer service especially when things do go wrong it's dealt with promptly and efficiently. The only thing I can add is please do not close down like so many online suppliers I've seen recently I will be lost and heart broken if you do

For a young company with a genuine passion to make shopping more environmentally friendly in its distribution and waste limiting management, id say from a customer point of view, they're doing pretty good 👍🤗 i will be continuing to shop with them. Thank you and Happy 1st Birthday!

They have great deals, well worth the money. Lack of communication with them once had the confirmation email. No dispatch email. It just arrived at my door five days after my order was placed. No problems with the delivery, all was in the delivery and happy with what I had received

Love Motatos not only are the items great but the comms are the best. From ordering to receiving goods you are informed every step of the way. Everything is wrapped to perfection no spills or broken bottles, just got my order and im ordering again. 5* service well done team Motatos

I love that I can get really good discounts on products that I wouldn't normally be able to get in the supermarket. Found some great vegan stuff that I can't get anywhere else. And its using product that would otherwise be wasted, so I helping to do my bit for sustainability.
