Knife handle
The knife i purchased; a due Cigna, by fox handle swelled the first time it was washed. The handle now has ‘raised grain’ the full length of the handle. The handle is completely unfinished, I should have realised it should be at least wax finished before use, and subjecting to washing. However it is a bit tricky finishing a handle when the knife is made and sharp, normally this would be done in manufacture.
The service from knives and tools is always excellent, and the remainder of my purchase exactly what i expected. .

If your in to anything outdoors I’d highly recommend checking out the Lars Falt slip joint pocket knife. Beautifully made and delivered very sharp. Just make sure you have the appropriate sharpening tools and some good oil, all available on the website, to keep it in perfect condition.

I was looking for a quality Japanese nagiri knife as a birthday present for my chef daughter. There was a huge range to choose from according to budget, but I found one that matched all her criteria. The downsides are paying 10GBP for UPS delivery.
I had a product delivered damaged. I spoke with customer services and started the return for replacment process. After waiting a week I had an email that I was being refunded.
I needed my product not the money back.
The lack of communication via email was sub par.
After being told I was being refunded I was also told I would have to order the product again which I would have done the day the broken one arrived if I knew this, I also refuse to pay another 10GBP for delivery again.
I chose another company for the product I needed it turned up the next day without paying such high postage.

For shipments to countries outside the EU, we are unfortunately unable to send a replacement order with a value of €0 due to the customs and import requirements involved. This is why a refund is normally processed and a new order needs to be placed.

The whole handling of the order by KNIVES and TOOLS was brilliant, and the same goes for the products.
The courier delivery is a different story, the delivery needed my signature, but instead it was dropped off at my front door, while the driver didn't have the patience to wait for me to answer the door.
It's good that I'm not that way inclined, but I could've claimed my money back and have the knives.
So it might be good that a good company like yours have a serious conversation with the courier.

Functions without any issue, in opertion some slight noise when frame lock engages, not any issue in planned tactical use. The item itself I cannot fault and the delivery was relatively painless. Owing to an issue with the merchant (third party I believe, but nevertheless acting on behalf of knives and tools) I ended up having two of the same item arrived, being charged for both with separate P&P.
I raised the issue and was dismissed effectively, being told I would have to pay £20 to return the item I received in error (NB this is double the p&p cost of receiving the item!). I've sent a few chaser emails and had nothing back.
Customer service has really let this experience drop from a 4 or 5 star to a two.

I was able to purchase a genuine Shapton ceramic stone from Knives and Tools at a lower overall cost (inc postage to UK) than from outlets in UK.
