The parasol is fantastic and extremely well built. My friends have all commented on how well it fits in. Unfortunately there was a little damage to the top during transit (you can see in the photo it’s slightly out of shape), Solero immediately reacted, sent out the replacement parts with an instruction video for the repair and also included a free cover as an apology.

Giving five stars because: 1) the product is excellent - very robust - well-designed, and works exactly as described; 2) Solero customer communication and response are terrific. They really care and it shows. On the shipping side, though, after receiving the parasol, my base was returned to sender without anyone’s authorization and had to be re-shipped. That took two weeks. Estimated delivery dates provided by TNT were extremely unreliable. And I was contacted more than once about providing an EORI number (used by commercial importers) despite the fact I am a private individual. Solero told me that 95% of their shipments go without a hitch so maybe it was just my bad luck. Bottom line based on my experience: if you are willing to risk potential shipping hassles, you cannot deal with nicer people than the people at Solero, and you cannot buy a better parasol. Would I purchase again? Yes. Definitely.

Order arrived speedily and all present and correct. The box containing the plastic base had not survived the journey intact but the base itself was fine. The packaging around the more valuable item (parasol) was much higher grade and would have survived much rough handling if it had to. The product appears to be of excellent quality and I'm very happy with it.

Beautiful sturdy parasol. Super quick delivery but one star deducted because there weren’t any instructions. It was simple to assemble though.
