Since there had been no changes to the tracking status since October 31, I went directly to the Parcelforce Worldwide (PFW) depot and picked up my items myself today. Although the system confirmed that the fee had been paid, this was never communicated to the PRW logistics center, leaving my package sitting in the warehouse since October 31. No one checked whether the customs fee had been paid for my item, and the package looked as though someone had carelessly tossed it aside, with only a red sticker notifying that a fee payment was required. The attitude of the Parcelforce staff who assisted me suggested that this kind of case was far from being the first time for them. Furthermore, the outer box packed by the seller was damaged. For an international shipment, the packaging quality and box thickness were extremely poor. The box was weak, punctured, and dented in places, and the taping was so insecure that the Parcelforce staff had to re-tape it. (The tape used by the seller was clear, while the tape applied by Parcelforce was brownish-translucent.) Given the high value( over £2,000 )of the items, sending them with such inadequate packaging is unimaginable. Even if it costs more, choosing a shipping company that does not use Royal Mail or Parcelforce—such as DHL Express, UPS, or FedEx—would be a much wiser choice considering how the local delivery system operates in the UK. If you do not change your delivery service and continue to maintain this level of packaging, I could never recommend Downduvet.co.uk products. UK consumers should take note of this: DHL operates both DHL Paket and DHL Express, and as of October 2026, the service used by Downduvet.co.uk is DHL Paket, which hands over deliveries to Royal Mail/Parcelforce in the UK. The UK Royal Mail/Parcelforce system is a complete mess; even when calling customer service, you have to wait at least 40 minutes just to get through, and once connected, the system is incapable of or unwilling to resolve your issues. I placed the order on October 13 and only received it on November 5, spending nearly a month in the cold winter without a duvet, which was an experience I never want to repeat. Although I would like to return the items, I am worried about whether they would reach you safely, and I have decided to keep them simply to avoid the stress of navigating the process to claim back the customs fees I have already paid.

The best duvet I have ever had! Bought the winter plus eiderdown and I can't believe how light and warm it is. I'm warm enough for the first time all winter. Shop around for a cover or it will be heavier than the eiderdown. Takes the weight off and makes night leg cramp less likely. Expensive but worth it. Also the lowest price available to UK residents compared to British made or ordering from Iceland or Norway.
