There are quite a few negative reviews for this company, however I am very pleased with the service and excellent prices I experienced recently when buying two photo printers from Photospecialist. The order was despatched well within the stated time scale of 2 to 4 days and arrived within a week with no customs delays. The tracking was accurate, so I could follow the parcel's journey up to the point it was delivered to me by Royal Mail. The printers are brand new and the prices I paid couldn't be matched by any other supplier. I will be more than happy to use this company for future photographic purchases.

I used Photospecialist as they had the perfect looking gloves for female photographers to keep my hands warm. I had purchased specifically for a trip I was going on. I had an email acknowledging my order but never received the confirmation of dispatch email. I left it a few days and decided to phone Photospecialist. My call was answered straight away and I was given the tracking details and my gloves arrived in time for my trip. Could have been 5 stars if I had received the tracking details email as soon as they dispatched.

I wanted the Peak Design carbon fibre travel tripod; the best price was at Photospecialist based in Rotterdam and postage to the UK was included in the price. I ordered the tripod and got slots of delivery updates - I received it within 4 days !! A brilliant experience.

I chose Photospecialist because its website advertised 2–3 working day delivery. The item was around £10 more expensive than another retailer, but I paid the extra because I needed it before leaving on a 10-day diving holiday with my daughter. Immediately after ordering, my confirmation email changed the delivery estimate to 2–5 working days. A few days later, the website was quoting 4–8 working days. Had that been the advertised delivery time when I ordered, I would have bought elsewhere. I contacted customer services several times, explaining I was flying on 2 July and asking if anything could be done to ensure delivery before I traveled. Unfortunately, the item arrived after I had left the UK, so we went on our diving holiday without the underwater camera equipment I had purchased specifically for the trip. I also repeatedly asked for the company’s formal complaints procedure, but those requests were ignored until I was eventually told to email the same customer service team I had already been corresponding with. The staff were polite and they arranged a return, but that did not change the fact that the advertised delivery timeframe was not met and the purchase no longer served its purpose. Overall, I was disappointed because I relied on the advertised delivery information when deciding where to buy. I hope Photospecialist reviews both its delivery estimates and its complaint-handling process so that other customers are not put in the same position.

Order was easy and delivery to the UK for an item above the import duty threshold of £135 was a concern, but was all included in the price on the website and handled by the carrier which was a relief. There was a delay of a couple of days with the parcel held in UK customs clearance, this was over a weekend. I imagine that the item would have been delivered within 4-5 days otherwise. Not within the control of Photospecialist. The order progress stated delivery as "Spring" having ordered an item, in mid January, that appeared to be in stock at the time but checking post order was out of stock. It turns out that the item was in stock, I'd ordered the last one, and the carrier is called Spring... All an unfortunate use of the word as their company name as well as dates/circumstances... Not my last order from Photospecialist; great range of products and good service.

I have purchased several times from Photospecialist over a few years and believe them to be reliable, offering products that are competitively priced and delivered reasonably quickly. Reliability is particularly important to me as I live in the UK so am some distance away.

Product received was fine and as expected. However the full address had been omitted and without my hard endeavours the package would have been returned to sender by parcel force. Reading other reviews I would have thought the company would have sorted this matter out by now. I have to say that emails received from them have been concerned and polite. But I would be too nervous to order from them again. I feel really sad about having to write this but there we are.

Ordering was ok once my CC provider stopped blocking my transactions. Good price compared with UK, lens arrived in a plain white cardboard box with nothing other than the shipping invoice (ex kit lens perhaps). Apart from that the lens works perfectly, and I'm happy with my most recent Photospecialist experience. Will definitely use PS again.

Item was advertised slightly cheaper than other sites, which is why I chose to order. It was stated that delivery was 48 hour tracked. However, there was no mention that the delivery would be coming from abroad rather from a UK supplier. Therefore, after I had been advised of it being dispatched, I started tracking progress, only to find that it originated in the Netherlands, and therefore was held up in delivery by customs both in Holland and in UK for some days. So the 48 hours delivery only started once Royal mail had picked it up.

My order was dealt with quickly. There was a slight delay due to the Easter holiday weekend, but the camera arrived within the 5 working day forecast. Delighted with my new camera.

The Scanner was tracked and arrived when expected. I had a problem setting up Silverfast. I contacted Photospecialist support and got no response until I phoned them. Then I got help quickly, which solved my problem.

Like others, I was a little worried about my order after reading some reviews. However, nothing could have been further from my experience. I researched the microscope and found Photospecialists offered a very competitive price. Ordering online was straightforward and the instrument was delivered with a few days by Royal Mail in the UK. I was kept informed about the delivery and it went well. The microscope meets my needs and I am pleased with the purchase. Thank you to all involved.

For the first few days after my purchase I felt quite anxious as I didn't know if I'd fallen for a scam. I didn't receive much info, and emails were widely ignored. However, the printer did arrive in time (even though it got stuck at a big post office for a while) and without any issues. The only thing I wish was more obvious is that the cables are not for UK households, which should be declared if the website is a .co.uk domain. Updated star rating based on the reply as I'm aware ratings like this can make or break a store. Wishing the business all the best.

The product is perfect. My only criticism is that I believed the item was stocked in the uk but in fact it had to come from the Netherlands. Having said that the price was right and it only took a week to arrive.
