Third booking made via Tracy and Dave’s organisation. As before the service has been excellent! Selection of villas is superb - we know the quality is assured and that they visit each before agreeing to promote them. Website is easy to use and booking process is swift and efficient. The personal touch with Tracy calling us to discuss the booking or payment etc is lovely. The Villa, Villa Belvedere was superb. Great location and beautifully appointed. We were somewhat unfortunate that there was a heatwave whilst we were staying that limited our movements for a number of days. Even the night markets in Duras and neighbouring towns were cancelled due to the excessive heat. The aircon was excellent in the villa! However, we would have had difficulty had our party included more people and the upstairs bedrooms been used as these were unbearable and without air con. The only other issues which would have made our stay perfect were the electrics and aspects of the garden. The electrics are very complex and extensive. The first night we were there we popped into the garden to take photos and the sliding doors on the kitchen conservatory locked us out. We had to call the house manager to help us. None of us including Stuart could understand why the door a had locked. Another day, some of the lights just came on without and switches or instruction to do so and the TV kept switching itself off then back on. This was not a major issue. Externally, we suspect the property has at least one hornets nest. In front of the property near the decking there were constantly many european hornets on the shrubbery and around the covered eating area. We were unable to swim in the pool on the final two days due to a number of Asian hornets in the banana palm beside the pool. These landed on my husband’s white cap a number of times when we attempted a swim and were dipping into the pool presumably for water due to the excessive heat. We loved the villa and would love to visit again however, we would definitely go during much cooler months and would wish to confirm that any hornet nests had been removed!
