The model you bought doesn’t come with a built-in thermostat but instead operates on a safety cut-off mechanism. Once the surface temperature reaches around 80°C, the heater automatically switches off to prevent overheating and then turns back on once it has cooled slightly. This cycling process is normal and ensures safe, consistent background warmth rather than precise temperature control. That said, we understand this may not be suitable for every space. If the heater isn’t providing the level of warmth you need, it might be worth considering adding a second heater to the room for extra heat output. Alternatively, this heater would work perfectly in a more compact area, such as an airing cupboard or under a desk, where its background heating capabilities can shine.
