Review summary

Customers are highly satisfied with the car's excellent value for money, highlighting its impressive features and performance relative to its low price. The car is described as easy and enjoyable to drive, particularly in city environments, thanks to its nippy acceleration and maneuverability. Many users appreciate the car's suitability for local journeys, its compact size, and ease of parking, making it a practical option for urban use and small families. Some customers also note positive experiences with dealership staff and appreciate the available tech features when functioning properly. Areas for improvement include the infotainment system, which is often reported as unreliable, with issues in app connectivity and radio malfunctions. Battery range, while generally adequate for daily use, leaves some customers wishing for a larger battery or more accurate range information. Comfort can be lacking on longer trips or rough roads, with some concerns about seating, noise, and ride quality. A number of reviews mention the car feels lightweight or 'tinny,' with worries about cheap materials and minor fit-and-finish problems, though many accept these due to the vehicle's budget-friendly nature. Additionally, a few customers report unsatisfactory dealership handover experiences or unresolved issues from sales and service teams.

My Dacia spring is a delight to drive. The distance from my home to work is very short so I just needed an electric car that could do that job and more if needed, and it can. It's range is good for myself as I drive very short distances, but I did manage to make an 80 mile trip away without needing to stop and charge and I was left with about maybe 35% battery. (I think, I don't fully remember as it was quite a while ago), and your milage will quite literally vary. For me, it also has everything I need. I went for the latest extreme 100 model as I definitely needed the car play / Android auto functionality, which the extreme models have. I also like the physical AC controls as well. Where I won't be taking passengers regularly my only gripe is that it's 4 seats instead of 5, and when you have passengers, it can feel a bit cramped / tight sometimes. (Although that does help with parking). Despite all of this, at this moment in time I don't have any major complaints (of course time will tell with), but for now I'm loving my Dacia Spring.

The car itself Dacia Spring Extreme is fantastic electric "city car" that will do dual carriageways. I could quite easily do a 30 mile daily commute ( 60 mile round trip ) and a nightly ( home granny type 6A ) charge ( not tried it in the winter ! ) The associated Dacia app is so useless I just ignore it sometimes it works sometimes it does not. I you want to employ me to re write what I have discovered so far about your instruction manuals and tutorial videos then I will consider doing so. It is not just me or the Dacia Spring ( other Dacia models also have issues ) as do quite a few other makes of EVs and their chargers ( and apps).

Excellent small light vehicle. Only things that would be nicer would include better door trims (they are a bit plastic feeling). An option to remove the battery percentage and miles to empty would also be useful for people with range anxiety so you can go back to basic driving just using a fuel guage. The extreme 100 model has a wonderful balance of power and handling. I am not left with a mundane car, or something I would get bored with. It's economical and fun.

The car itself is great value for money.

The car itself is great value for money, so no real complains. However, the app definitely needs work as I've never been able to connect to it. The car can be quite difficult to corner with - it rolls quite a lot and the seats don't hold you in place. In general, the car doesn't perform fantastically, but it would be harsh to compare it to anything as it sort of sits in its own category for now. It's really nippy and that's a big plus! Space is OK - it's a small car, so it's what I expected. I will add that the front interior space is super, minus the cupholder, which I understand you can buy. Look, It's a very good car, for very little money. Very solid value for money!

This EV is simply amazing. It ticks so many boxes including good looks, equipment, smooth driving, easy charging, comfort and good value for money. The MyDacia app is a bit hit and miss and needs work especially when setting up future charging and monitoring current charge status. Given that the car is so good, the remote software does let it down. However, I have given the Spring glowing reports to all my friend family.

Feels great to drive. The motor is small but still quite punchy. I am getting amazing efficiency. 3 months of driving almost 2000 miles and my overall efficiency has improved to 6.4kwh. Considering the battery size of 24 Kw that's an impressive 153 miles of range on a single charge. The car is relatively comfortable on short journeys and has got decent sound insulation. You can hear the noise only when driving on motorways, which I don't quite often do. The only criticism I have is that the car should have come with at least one cup holder in the centre. I know you can buy accessories but fitting one cup holder wouldn't have taken too much away from Spring in terms of pricing. Overall, very impressed with the car and think I have made a smart purchase :)

Great vehicle, fun and easy to drive, very easy to park, packed with many features you wouldn't always expect on a car at this price, extremely economical (exceeds predicted range) and so far no problems to report. Ours is the Cargo version and is a great little car derived van EV. Making the "Frunk" a standard fitting would be nice

Overall delighted with our Spring

We're delighted with our Spring. It's a simple, easy to drive and extremely economical little EV. It is all we hoped for and more. The reasons for not awarding 5* are glitchy systems the unreliable app and difficulty of connecting to both car and the app. The radio randomly switches itself on and off changing channels of its own volition. Same with the driver alerts, which despite being switched off regularly go back on again minutes later.

I had a problem with my radio in the Dacia Spring which had stopped playing. Booked in for a service to sort out the problem. Just before the car was to go in, the radio resumed playing. I spoke to Vicky Oakes in the service department to say should I cancel but she said there must be an underlying problem and to bring the car in. The radio required an soft wear update and has been playing ever since. Thanks Vicky.

For a small little town runner it does perfectly for me. The regenerative break-in feature is brilliant for local and the standard drive feature is brilliant for motorways. At 70 mph on the motorway you can expect your range to be no more than 70 to 80 mi. But at 56 mph you can expect about $120. If you do what I do, I'll lower it down to 45 or 50 when there's no traffic you can honestly expect To reach the advertise range (if not, running accessories). My honest guess is that the air conditioning or heating will affect the range by about 10 mi, I'm just travelling at night icing. The headlights take off are possible 5 mi (accessory use figures are just my own opinion). I am 6'1 tall and I do struggle with the low roof for my size. When stopped right at the stop line for traffic lights, I have to crane quite a lot forward until my head sideways to be able to look up at the traffic lights. The sun visor is of zero used to me unless I wish to drive like Stevie Wonder. I find the driving position very close to the driver's door, so much so that it's hard to relax, but I figured this before I bought it being as it is only a small car. It is feature rich and all controls are very easily accessible. You can fully control this car without having to touch the screen at all, although the screen does have a lot of useful functions, it's main purpose is entertainment. Android auto compliant and works very well. The dachsha app works very well for monitoring, charging and battery state and also to activate air conditioning or to flash the lights and beep the horn three times when necessary. All in all this is a wonderful little car but is not going to be useful. If you are a giant who wants to do many, many miles. I will finish on the most important part which is charging. From 10% to 100% on a fast charger will take around 60 mins. 20% to 80% takes around 22 minutes.

Fun to Drive

My Spring has most of the extras and I find it fun to drive. It has all the tech I could possibly need, including an APP. A 100% battery charge gives an indicated 131 miles range, which would probably stretch to over 140 with regenerative braking. I rarely drive in ECO mode. I would like the gear lever/switch to work in the opposite direction, push forward to go forward. Having a proper handbrake is a bonus but using an ignition key to start 'the motor' feels a bit weird, but I easily got used to it.

Excellent Value for Money

In terms of value for money, this car is perfect. It is a little tinny when you shut the door and the battery could do with being slightly bigger, but at the price I paid I cannot complain. The screen and interior is good for the price point but I would think that some cup holders and other convenient features could be added without any extra cost.

Quick, comfortable and very low running costs.

It has replaced my 18 year old Audi TT. Whilst it may not have the performance the Spring is a delight to drive. For a small around town car, it is quick, comfortable and silent (apart from the music system). It is a delight to drive and costs very lttlel (as we have solar panels and only charge when the sun is shining).

Very helpful sales. Felt valued. Great price. The car is ideal for me 72 years bought the automatic electric. And it has been fantastic. First time for both electric and automatic would highly recommend. Would have liked a manual, not just on the internet.the blind spot is much larger than I was used to. So need to take care until used to it.. All in all very happy.

Need far less tech stuff to work out. I just want to drive the car! Very disappointed in the non operating of the radio frequently. You need to switch off the system totally to get the sound back and this is happening almost daily.

Needs a recharge in tje middle of a long journey but for those who dom't often go far its perfect. Very economical to run and quiye comfortable to drive.

Love it ! After driving much bigger cars for many years I was apprehensive but a smaller car was now necessary. It is nippy and compact yet very comfy and pacey when it needs to be. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

Economical

The Dacia is a fab little car, so economical to run if just pootling about locally. My work is 10 miles round trip, 6 days a week, and I only have to charge once a week. Downside is the Infotainment system. Have to reset weekly at least as the radio will just stop working, clearly shows the station playing and the volume is high, but nothing comes out. It randomly changes radio station also.

Simple Modern Motoring

Simple tech, easy/joy to drive, manual handbrake, light steering, easy access in/out due to car design. The car is tall/narrow for it's size which makes it an ideal for a town driving mature with a disability.

Generally the car feels quite ‘ flimsy’ and lightweight both in the drive and the quality. The drive assistant triggers in high winds even when driven correctly. The interior plastics feel rather cheap and screams entry level car. On the plus side, it is a compact car that is easy to park with a good boot space.
