It nearly works perfectly. But since I’ve installed it my cat stopped more of less bringing mice. Only one time she tried to and it was recognised! Therefore my feedback might change.

Easy to set up. Cat has not tried to bring in prey since installation, but I love the reassurance that she won’t succeed. If the camera is unsure, it will block her, so I know it works. Wonderful purchase!

I purchased the Zero Mouse 2.0, and since installing it, it has had nothing but problems. The device always says inconclusive, as the camera doesnt record in time my cats mouth. It also has drained 8 of the batteries in my SurePet Cat Flap, as the device keeps sending random blocking signals, which then in turn keeps sending notifications to our phones that "An Animal looked through the Cat Flap". I raised a support ticket and was liaising with Denis, who was helpful for the first week or so, but has since gone radio silent after offering me a new device. I've sent 4 chaser emails, as I know they advertise a 60 day money back guarantee, and its been 5 weeks since I purchased the item. ==== UPDATE 4th August 2026 ==== Zeromouse eventually sent me a new device, however the same issues are occuring. The persistant false notifications on our phone saying "An Animal looked through the Cat Flap", is draining the batteries. The new device was better at detecting the cat early enough to know it had no prey in its mouth, but was also blocking out cat from entering even if it didnt have anything in its mouth. The app was set to not block, even if it did have a prey in its mouth - to specifically avoid this issue of the cat being locked out all night. I've requested a refund twice now, and have not heard back - even though they state a 60 day refund policy - they appear to not be responding so it passes the date. Very disappointed, will be left no choice but to contact my Credit Card company to dispute the issue if I dont hear back very soon.

So far it has worked perfectly. Our can is a successful hunter and used to bring her prey inside, leaving a mess in the house. Since we got the ZeroMouse detector we have had no prey inside the house.

works well.. a product at this price point should certainly come with a power adapter though as well as a few more mounting options. In the case of our install the zero mouse did not fit due to a small lip in the cat tunnel so I had to buy a thicker adhesive pad to make it fit, a few different adhesive pads of different thickness would be a useful addition.

Delivery was much slower than expected, but I can't fault the device. We've got poor WiFi but it's still worked perfectly and prevented the cats from bringing several animals in. Very impressive.

Like: - small additional device, attachable to existing catdoor - App: with notification is good - App: the videofeeds for rating are good quality - seems to work so far Dislike: - Problems initializing device (long answer time from support). No useful FAQ for standard problem.

Zero Mouse has really helped us. Not a single mouse got through. Our cat has now learned not to bring any more mice home. We are extremely satisfied with Zero Mouse. A truly excellent invention. We would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Not too impressed with this camera especially for the price - We have 3 cats and it often stops one of them coming in as it has detected prey but the photos clearly show no prey - it has stopped several prey from entering the house but had a pile outside the door - A few have also been let in! The wifi connection is poor very often we have critical and medium showing. Review written around a month after installing as thought it might be initial but problems have carried on

Great product. Has stopped a variety of wildlife from being brought into my house - not one incident since installed!! Some odd glitches such no longer registering the cat leaving (which it specifically logged at first) but overall a great success. Thank!!

It works really well but I have problems keeping it in place. I had to use double sided tape and if it is too thick it is too high and won’t allow the flap to open.

Excellent has resolves our rodent situation and our cat can come into the house anytime now not just restricted to one room, it was just a bit slow delivery and think you should provide the adapter at the cost as high

It works! 8 attempts at bringing prey into the house have been foiled. A superb bit of kit. A larger and much stronger adhesive pad to stick the unit to the cat-flap would be a great improvement to setting it up.

Great device for stopping our cats bringing in mice! Marked it down a star because it picks up sunlight reflections and us then registers as inconsistent.

It was easy to fit and I like the fact that the app is free. It’s been very effective since it was installed and gives me peace of mind. The only thing which I need to stay on top of is keeping the camera clean daily as it gets quite grubby and can affect the AI decision making.

It's still early days, as the AI is only at 6%. My cat is completely black and I think this is causing the AI to take longer to detect when he is leaving so getting a lot of "Inconclusive" reading, but it has detected every single prey. I know this item is expensive but in my opinion worth every penny.

Love seeing the "feed", filled with cute cat-noses as they pass. Once wired up it works great. Setup was so simple I was uncertain if I had everything I needed configured. Biggest issue was providing a discrete way to wire up power.

Zero mouse works well most of the time, it has stopped my cat entering on 2 occasions with a rat. It has however been inconclusive with birds and allowed entry. I think this was because no feet/beak were captured, the bird was sideways in his mouth. Overall I am very pleased.

I like that it has stopped the cats bringing in mice. Its camera isn’t of great clarity as unfortunately it blocks my tortoiseshell cat as her markings it reads as prey. It doesn’t recognise the cats underbelly’s when they exit. I would like a much better camera and one that is colour not black and white.

Great idea that really works! Easy to install and has been worth every penny giving me peace of mind that my adorable cat will not be able to bring in prey to the house. That is priceless 🤩
