All in all,i have brought 3 swords from,katanamartuk and i have found the customer service's,sometimes a little slow to reply,but on whole of it,when i have encountered a problem,Alex has stepped up to the plate and in my view has gone above and beyond to sort out a shipping problem i encountered plus the,Shibata katana was a lot better in the steel than the pictures. So i'm extremely happy with the katana and the service i received from,Alex,katanamartuk team. I will definitely be back when i have saved a bit more cash. Thanks guys.

The only issues I had were around logistics, The length of time it takes from order to delivery to the United Kingdom you do start to doubt that it is going to arrive and more importantly the fact I never received a tracking number. Which made the courier's job somewhat a frightening experience when the German Shepherd's appeared "I'm pretty sure he left with wet lumps in his underpants "anyway rant over". After nearly 4 months of continuance use and sometimes intense training the overall quality of the afore mentioned Iaito is remarkably good and has exceeded my expectations given the price. I personally favour the Higo Koshirae style for it's understated features although the SAMEGAWA is white instead of black (a small detail I know). The plain KOJIRI, KASHIRA and FUCHI gives this Iaito an understated and functional elegance. The TSUKA- ITO wrap is well executed and appears to live up to daily use. The MEKUGI and MEKUGI ANA line up and holds the tsuka solid with no movement. The HABAKI fits extremely well. The HAMON is quite a distinctive pattern and the HI is well pronounced. The weight and balance suits me perfectly. Plus the TACHIKAZE has improve my posture and cutting technique. All in all really impressed with Higo Koshirae Iaito 2nd Generation. The Sageo is not supplied as stated in the item description. Unfortunately I've had to corp the photo to remove the shinken.

Recently purchased both a matching Katana and Wakizashi. Even after reading many positive feedback reviews I was still a wee bit apprehensive about Katana Mart UK. However, less than a Month after parting with my cash the two Swords arrived safely and I couldn't be more happier. I cannot fault this Company and especially the top correspondence from Alex. I can Guarantee that they are not a scam and if your purchase is a good as mine you won't be disappointed. This week (July 2026) I have purchased my third sword (Wakizashi Shirasaya) and look forward to receiving it in a few weeks time. Now I must add, all of my Swords are for display only so I cannot give any feedback on their cutting ability/strength but I will say, please be careful as they are 'EXTREMELY SHARP' i accidently sliced my left thumb wide open requiring six stitches at A&E (ouch) My fault not the blade. Give these Guy's a go, especially if you're from the UK, no issues with Customs, Tax, or a knock at the door by the Boys/Girls in Blue but just be patient and your purchase will get to you in around a Month unless you order something special then expect several Months. Great katana! Took time to get to me but that's a good thing. It means time and care has been taken to make and deliver the sword which is of excellent quality and workmanship at a very good price. I would definitely recommend but bear in mind quality takes time.

I’m very happy with my orders, the only thing letting Katanamart down is the delivery lead times, however they kept me fully informed so I was aware of the long lead times, so no real issue.

I've ordered from KatanamartUk before and have generally been impressed. However order's take at least a month to be delivered. They also seem to have sorted out the customs issue

Excellent product and good response to email once I found it but website is extremely clunky and difficult to navigate when wanting to check in on pre ordered item.

Having had some difficulty with the online purchase software I wanted to speak to someone in relation to the issue but having sent two emails andphoned the number shown receive no reply whatsoever. However, my purchase turned up on time and appears to be good.

All good, the only complaint I have is the slow delivery, but they are made to order and I was kept informed, so no big issue. Highly recommend.
