Prices and availability are often the best for some of the brands that I like, so this isn’t my first time using Alpinetrek.
On this occasion I bought and returned some shoes as they were a little tighter than expected, however the refund was issued without and problems and I ordered another size.
They’re a little slow and I suppose my only complaint would be that they use a ‘co.uk’ address when goods are actually shipped from Central Europe. Yes, the expected shipping time IS stated so they’re not doing anything wrong but one of the main reasons that people choose to buy from ‘co.uk’ sites is that they assume shipping will be swift. I feel that it’s a little misleading.
They also exclusively use EVRI. Thankfully my experience this time was positive and I appear to have a a good local driver but I would never choose a site using Evri if I could find the same product for a competitive price elsewhere, it’s not worth the risk

I returned vidda pro trousers, I printed off the label they provided, it was collected by royalmail. I have tracking data and screenshots I gave them to show the package was picked up and delivered to their UK depot. The package now appears to be lost in the system, and I have no received a refund after waiting a month. Very disappointed. I couldnt recommend this retailer, first time shopping online in 20 years I have run into such an issue. Avoid.

Exceptional product
And ultimately this is what counts. Four stars not five because delivery was slower that anticipated, not that I’m in a rush, but if somebody else was ordering for a particular event, the good may not reach them in time.

Alpinetrek is brilliant. The courier isn't.
Alpinetrek is brilliant. The best large outdoor retailer. Especially because you stock large size shoes and products I can't get anywhere else. Recently your stock levels of some products have been low, but this seems to be a problem in other places. Your delivery & return systems for the UK are excellent. You coped well with Brexit which couldn't have been easy. Also your product specialists are very knowledgeable. The website is also very good. The search & filter options could be improved as they can come up with funny results. That's a minor thing though. I wish you were able to sell Lowa to the UK but I understand they won't allow it.
Your courier, Evri, is another story. They are really bad. No customer service, crashing computers which don't allow customers to collect items from a pick up point even though the item is physically there- the computer said no. Lack of and misleading tracking information. That's the only reason I knocked a star off.

Item is as described. Was a little late being delivered, took 8 days rather than the expected 4-5, and had to contact them to find out what was happening. However, customer services were very good once they replied.

Lovely clothes but I’m a new customer & when I signed up I was to get 5% off. I touched code which took me to site but nowhere was I asked to enter code. Didn’t receive discount.
