As a first time customer I found the site user friendly , clear and easy to navigate. I changed my plans to be available for DHL delivery slot as a signature is required. I received a mobile message stating delivery had been made. I saw the van driver drive off, without ringing my doorbell or leaving any message. I eventually got through to DHL on my 3rd attempt, then discovered my wine dumped at the side of my house. Not impressed.

I ordered a vintage bottle of port as a gift for a retirement party. Unfortunately, this company uses a poor courier service and despite ordering the product a full week before it was needed and paying for express 1-2 days delivery, the port did not arrive in time. I pleaded with the company to send a replacement so that I had the gift in time but they refused, saying it needed to be returned by the courier or reported lost before they would refund me. They did agree to refund me eventually but too late to find a replacement gift prior to the party.

Dear Karen, Thank you for your review. We are unique in offering a replacement guarantee in most of our wines for three months following purchase, as per our T&C's when ordering. Unfortunately, we were not contacted regarding this issue at all and we were not given the option to rectify this for you. Dear Markus, thank you for taking the time to leave us with a review. However, we do not believe this accurately reflects the situation. Upon tracking your order I can see delivery was attempted the next working day however DHL could not gain access to the property, this also occurred on the next delivery attempt. Since then you have requested delivery to your local service point, which has resulted in a slight delay in the depot while they amended the address label for you. In regards to your comment that you have not received a response from our customer service team, having looked under your email address we can only see one email coming through from you which was on Saturday the 5th at 10:59am.. six minutes after you'd posted this review. As our office is closed over the weekend, our team has responded to you this morning and has confirmed that your parcel is out for delivery today to your selected collection point.
