Purchased 2 x 72 inch rattan staffs (at a good price too) which were delivered very quickly. Upon opening the parcel, one of the staffs was perfect while the other one had a split. A quick phone call and a replacement was dispatched straight away along with free collection of the damaged staff. Updates via email & text at each step of the process, staff i spoke to were always polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend!

I have recently purchased a few of the rubber training pistols which will be used in theatrical productions, in place of any blank fire guns that are tediously difficult to both source or operate under the ever increasing burdens of the VCR. As a prop maker and theatre armourer, these guns have provided an excellent and hugely cost effective way, to create a realistic looking hand gun for use on stage. These can then be carefully directed to imitate being fired on cue and in synch, with either a blank shot, fired from the safety of the wings, or in certain cases where that is not possible, a high quality sound effect. Over the years, Playwell have consistently provided fantastic service, with fast processing of my orders, quick despatch and rapid delivery. Provided the normal ID protocols required for purchase of these items are followed upon receipt, these items also can be posted very easily and cheaply as they are completely inert and weigh very little. As a prop maker and armourer, with decades of theatre experience, as well as UK shooting instructor experience, working with a wide variety of firearms over the years, I have been able to simply modify these imitation guns to look just perfect on stage. Over the years, I have also bought a variety of their rubber training knives for the same applications in live stage productions, and these have been both incredibly safe to use in rehearsal as well as very realistic for effect on stage in performance. I would thoroughly recommend Playwell as a resource not only for martial arts training, but to solve problems easily for theatre companies; in particular, amateur groups who often struggle to provide the correct looking firearms for productions. My only request, would be that a wider selection of these imitation training guns, from different periods, were available!! A good Webley Service Revolver and a Colt 1911 would be excellent additions!! 😁👍🏻

I ordered two of the Celtic style short swords. They are a good weight to practice with and look great, but don’t look like real weapons which is good because I can only practice outside in my garden so I don’t have the neighbours calling the police out! Also delivery was very prompt and ordering was fuss-free. Thanks!

Brilliant I have to admit after reading the reviews I was hesitant to put in an order. The whole process from ordering to delivery was great no problems. FedEx also kept me updated if running late . I ordered a Bo Staff which arrived well packaged and true to description. I recommend this business and will order from them again.

Website was a little tricky to navigate which led to purchasing my item incorrectly but I was contacted quickly to rectify this. The item is exactly as described and perfect for my son. The only thing that let me down was the delivery. I paid for 24 hour delivery which was thwarted by their chosen delivery company DHL. The item was not delivered on the day it should have due to an unknown reason. Therefore I paid for a service I then did not receive, and it may be time to change delivery company.

Great communication as the product ordered was not available in particular colour so they called and asked if the other colour would be ok which I was fine with. Very quick dispatch and delivery very happy with the service.

Second pair of trousers that I have purchased. As I am tall when I buy a Japan cut uniform the length of the trousers look silly on me so I use these instead. The first pair (14oz) lasted three years of heavy use and I purchased the 10oz this time. They don't have the same snap and I don't know if these will last as well. We will see. Still the best trousers on the market where you are not tied into buying another jacket you don't need. Also the best value.

Ordered 3bo staffs and covers. Expected to wait a couple of weeks as in pre order but arrived same week. Only slight issue was although I was advised order dispatched I did not receive any notification of when it would be delivered. By chance I was in. Would have liked a further notification of delivery date and time.

I ordered my produce Tuesday morning and I recieved it Friday am ( would of been Thursday but Royal Mail messed up) . Both products that I have purchased from Playwell are fantasticly priced and the quality of craftmanship is out of this world.

I never normally leave reviews but in this case it’s well deserved. Everything from the initial phone call enquiry, online order, delivery (super quick) and follow up was outstanding (especially considering it was right before Christmas). After I received the product I emailed in with a query and received a telephone call the next morning to answer my question. Really impressive customer service. Highly recommended all round.

Great selection and service- top supplier with a wide selection and reasonable prices. Could use more detail to some product listings (extra dimensions, packing details, scale and use-reels) but kne of the best sites for martial art supplies around

I made a mistake and ordered the same thing twice. They realised my mistake and phoned me. They sorted it out and sent the correct items. And said when it would arrive. Great customer relations.

Playwell offer a great range of martial arts kit at reasonable prices. The staff are knowledgeable on there stock and are quick to respond. Have used playwell for over 10 years and will continue to use them.

Was struggling to get the item i wanted no where had a medium then came across playwell M A After a quick check on there reveiws orderd late in to christmas period have to be honest never thought it would come for my sons christmas but they got it there by christmas eve will defo be ordering again from there site thank you playwell my son was buzzing with hid headgaurd

My first purchase from Playwell martial arts, The dragon sword was bought for my partner as a gift for Weapon up, we are very pleased with the quality of the sword, and it is perfect for what she needs. excellent service from Playwell and prompt delivery.

My hanbo arrived safe and sound, in bubble wrap, on time as usual. Playwell has a good selection of what I need, at an excellent price, with service reliability and product quality to match. What could be better is the membership scheme - if only there was some way of registering without compromising privacy or security. Perhaps, instead of requiring every bit of personal information, you could do a check against the British Kendo Association membership or similar officially recognised/registered martial arts associations.

People to contact and the running of the company, especially with postage is excellent and portrays a very efficient network from a consumer point of view. And then in terms of product prices and deals for returning customers it is fair and always worth it for the quality of the items. The only room for improvement from a consumer point of view is the amount of products available could be increased even the same item in a different colour would be appreciated, but I only really buy a very specific niche of items and can’t say if this applies to the rest of the store, nevertheless more traditional designs and even different sizes would increase my purchases from the company.

I was very impressed with the wooden training sword. The quality was higher than I expected at that price, it's study, well-made and well-finished. Delivery was quick and easy. Will definitely buy from you again.

Been using playwell for a while, and now I'm starting my own Martial Arts Club, having access to a trusty worthy and dependable service like Play Well means I've got access to the equipment I need to teach others. I ordered 12 kali sticks and 2 day later they arrived. Great service.
