further update
Having worn the strap now for a couple of weeks there are a few things you need to consider before purchasing your Milanese strap.
if you have a hairy wrist the strap occasionally traps a hair which can be annoying
occasionally I find bits of inner sleeve woollen clothing attached to the band
the Milanese band is thinner than the Apple strap.
would I recommend the band now after a few weeks, no I wouldn't.
