Straightforward. Although not the cheapest, they did have stock where others didn't. The free delivery was a bonus and I was able to take advantage of a 'first time' discount.

A previous order was cancelled when I queries about cancelled ONE element. Now there is doubt that we will receive this laptop in time. Poor customer service!!!! Please explain properly what the options are and then ask the customer how they wish to proceed rather than decide on their behalf and not tell them! I have now paid the same amount £1211 for a lesser package, losing £60 in value - not happy. I buy a laptop a month for work but don't see why I should be back after this experience.

Payment issues

For some reason, my transaction did not get through. I tried different payment methods, unfortunately neither, PayPal nor Debit Card did not work.

Misleading payment methods

I wanted to use Pay Pal Pay in 3 but the full amount came out of my bank even though the site states you can pay in 3 instalments

Store and Product info integration

There is a lack of links from product information, to products that are actually for sale/in stock. Some of the website feels like a tech review website, rather than somewhere to purchase a product. The store & and product info sections of the site should be better integrated

Online information of product specification is inadequate.

I nearly didn't go ahead with my purchase. The specification page for the laptop was inadequate, with lots of technical information (mainly about the versions of ports and communication standards) missing. I struggled to get answers from Acer staff. This sort of thing can be easily remedied with a bit of care and attention to detail.

The website payment page would not allow Mastercard to perform its standard ID Check verification on my credit card payment (confirming a code). I was supposed to click a button to choose between receiving the verification code via SMS or via a phone call in the Mastercard ID Check pop-up window, but the buttons in the pop-up window were not accessible (using the latest Edge version on Windows 10) so I had to use PayPal instead, which was a pain, but in the end I managed to pay.

Over the last two days I have tried a total of six times to place an online order, without success. Each time the purchase was approved by my card issuers and each time Acer reversed/cancelled the order. I experienced this problem with an online order nearly a year ago - as Acer must be aware of the problem, why hasn't it been fixed? This is very, very poor and completely unacceptable.

Dissapointed

This is my second Acer computer I have purchased (the previous one lasted many years). I just wish it would have been bought to my attention that if I HAD to perform a factory reset ( after contracting a virus). I should have had to pay extra for a recovery device.
