I really like that Yescapa exists - the whole concept is wonderful. Having a sort of AirBnB for campers, caravans and motorhomes is great. It gave me freedom to travel at my own pace, not having to worry about getting to a particular town at a particular time or day. I appreciate the environmental aspect of this sort of car-sharing too. I found the site a bit frustrating at times to negotiate -maybe the app might have been better. Having to provide not just my driver's licence and passport, but a utility bill in my name was a bit of an awkward request to respond to, when I was already overseas; and I am not sure what purpose it achieved. When I had an issue, both Yescapa and the insurance company responded very quickly and were very active in trying to sort things out, and to work with both me, and my host.

Yescapa is a risky booking platform with no customer service. Book a campervan at your own peril as they offer no real protection or support if something goes wrong. We went over the mileage limit for our rental and agreed a €100 extra charge with the camper owner. Yescapa then randomly took €800 from my bank account without prior warning, and have been impossible to get hold of over the past ten days. I’ve tried calling most days and their phone line says they are too busy and hangs up, and none of my 5 emails have been responded to.
