The difference between good business and complacent / just cruisin’ business is not the lack of problems, but how these problems are handled. I had quite a few (too many for my liking) hiccups with Snowleader in 2023, but my previous experience in earlier years was perfect. Ordered kids skis and adult women’s skis on Black Friday 2023. Kids skis arrived to London. Tracking for women’s skis shows that courrier (Evri) has not even picked them up from sender yet. As a result I needed to wait 2 weeks before they do anything (refund or resending skis). 2 weeks later - they acknowledged that package was lost. I asked them can you please resend the same skis. They said this was impossible and refunded the skis. I then had to place a 2nd order, and pay additional delivery fees (which later got refunded upon emailing customer services). I then made an error when ordering my adult women wife’s skis - I entered sole length 255mm (instead of 25.5 MP) size. They had a complete common sense failure and they *actually drilled the skis for this 255mm size* which cost me £60 in London to re-drill. (Snowleader partially refunded this) For context for readers - the order was for adult woman skis (25-50 years selected on the website) and 25.5MP boots are approx 295mm sole length. They didn’t question and drilled 255mm sole length which corresponds to ~21.0/21.5MP ski boots - my daughter had this size when she was 7 years old. Photo attached the 2 boots - the one it should have been drilled for 25.5MP and 255mm sole they actually drilled it for. The responses were slow. It seemed customer was always wrong, until customer proves he is right etc. Didn’t feel like much of customer service there.

They entice you with low prices, then charge £9.99 for delivery. Then they use Hermes/Evri. Then the driver knocks the door and drives off 5 seconds later, without using the parcel bin like he always has done in the past. This is a French company, and they seem to systematically ignore all inquiries from the UK. I was ignored then cut off on live chat! Tried to get through for over 45 minutes. And the phone number on their website is a dud. A bit like their customer service. The contact form does not work either. My parcel is now a week late and I'm not optimistic that it will rock up any time soon. Very poor comms, non-existent customer service. Snow blindness rather than snow leader. I will avoid like the plague in future.

I bought and payed for my item on the 22nd evri have only just got the item on the 28th that is 6 days it has taken you to start the delivery process plus I payed for evri 48h you took 3 times that to get my item to them I won't be buying off you ever again.

Huge delivery and packaging charges

Your delivery and packaging charges were outrageous. For a hat that cost £24.00 you added £11. That’s almost 50%. Had i not been busy and needed a birthday present quickly I would have gone elsewhere.

Order returned but still not refunded 6 weeks later

I spent more than £400 and returned the package as soon as I received it (boots didn't fit). I still haven't received a refund.

Ordered a Gerber multi tool cost over £60. Got less then 30 minutes notice of delivery while I was attending a hospital appointment with my phone on silent and notice of delivery while still in same appointment. Turned on phone on way home to come home to find delivery left outside my house. Opened parcel to find an empty Gerber box inside.!!!! Tried ringing, gave up when I found out I was paying 9 pence per minute. Tried messaging no answer yet !!!! Over £60 down with an empty Bix to show for it !!!!! Not happy !!!!

Do not use

Ordered over a week ago with 48hr delivery but have still not received my order. I got the shipping notification email 4 days ago with a tracking number, which when used indicates the courier is still waiting for the package. After showing this for a few days i contacted snowleader (which was borderline impossible and merits a 1 star review in its own right), to see if it had indeed left the warehouse as had been stated, they confirmed that it had and the courier was in possession of it. I have since contacted the courier (Evri, whose word i will take over snowleader especially after seeing other reviews) who said they do not have it, and so snowleader has clearly blatantly lied to me. I’m not particularly in a rush to receive the order (although it’s getting a bit of a joke now considering they say 48hrs) so if they had just been honest and said there was a delay this would’ve been fine. However, not only was the woman i spoke to via chat extremely dismissive of me, she lied and then refused to tell me where my order was. As of now i am still waiting for any update at all - the only communication i’ve had is an email asking me to review. I’ve since tried contacting again but as i said before getting through to them is like winning the lottery, and they don’t reply to the forms they ask you to send. Genuinely think this is the first review i’ve ever written for a company as i usually can’t be bothered to even if it has been a poor experience, however this experience has been appalling. How this is a company that continues to trade is honestly beyond me. Will never use again and will make sure to go out of my way to tell anyone not to use them.

2023 UK company wont send to the UK

The company does not send to the UK from the UK, i had wanted to buy a few items from this company, but they do not send Northern Ireland (for reasons they don't care to explain and don't mention on their website) so i had to have the item sent to a proxy to then get it sent here to me. its crazy that if you want to support an independent shop and are worried about the planet don't bother with these folks they don't want your money . we sourced the boots and camp kit from the EU with free shipping and no extra charge for packing the items ..yes thats right these guys charge you for preparing to ship your order that you paid for and that you paid a minimum of 9.99£ for ... i would not buy from these guys again. crazy in today's world you can buy from the EU USA or China but the UK company wont send to the UK

Inaccessible customer service

Ordered item on 29/12/2023 and it stated the delivery date would be 04/01/2024 but I've only just received the Evri tracking number on the 4th Jan, and when I tracked on the delivery site it says they're still expecting parcel from Snowleader. Trying to get through their live chat customer service is a joke, they put me on queue on 11th when i started, then became 9th, 6th, 2nd and jumped back to 10th again(!!!). 50 minutes later on the line waiting they cut me off from the chat saying that i've lost connection. Also filled in the customer contact form but I did not receive any confirmation of the form being sent. I'm due to go on my ski trip in a couple days time possibly without my ski gear because of the poor customer service! just feeling frustrated and helpless in situation like this.

Refusal to supply goods as described on website

Snowleader website described a Head ski helmet as being supplied with two interchangeable visors but it arrived with only one. I had to contact Snowleader on four separate occasions before I got a response. I thought they would just obtain and send me a spare visor as they clearly have an existing trade account with Head but they refused to help. Under pressure they offered a £15 discount. For me to buy a spare visor from Head is £60. In simple terms, Snowleader decided that protecting their profit margin was more important than fulfilling their legal and moral obligations to their customer.

Horrendous service. First ordered my parcel using the Snowleaders “deliver to parcel shop” for collection option, waited several days for delivery only to have it returned to snowleader as apparently parcel shop delivery wasn’t a valid option. Then had to re order it, only for evri to leave it in an unnamed place with no proof of delivery or further information. Awful service from evri, terrible website management from snowleader. Frustrating so close to Christmas as this was a present.
