As usual the product was excellent. I'm afraid on this occasion the supplier was severely let down by the courier. Notified delivery date passed with no further advice from the courier. After four days and no delivery I decided I should collect. After one-and-a-half hours wait - in bitter cold but at least it wasn't raining - I came away with my order, handed over by a rather dour employee who made no attempt to pass the time of day or, god forbid, apologise for the delay. In particular I thought it rather odd that a courier company, in December and with deliveries so far behind schedule, should stick to their routine of not working on Sundays.
Unfortunately this review is not all bells and whistles, placed an order with Wilton on a Sunday and ordered express delivery, order never got despatched till the Tuesday and did not arrive until the Thursday, called Wilton Wholefoods and the woman that answered the phone said I should spend more money for next day delivery (words to that effect), why? They offer three delivery options and I took the middle one which is express, why should I spend £10 more on goods not needed! Because of this and it is not the first time this has happened I will not be ordering from this company again, how ever good the quality is, the service is awful.
I have had the pleasure of dealing with this family run company for many years, and they are 100% absolutely first class. Always someone to answer the phone quickly and deal with whatever is needed efficiently and pleasantly. The goods are first class, the service is wonderful what more can I say.
Dan from the Wilton team contacted me via email to let me know he redirected on item of my order from another warehouse as it was out of stock at the main warehouse. Communication with spot on updates followed and delivery was at my house right on time. Best customer service experience in a very long time.
