I'm still a loyal customer regardless of the things you have change on the website which, in my opinion, have been changed for the worse. For instance, now to book a flight the choice states the price as "from £..." and when you click it's a lot more expensive than you thought it was. Then, in order to look for the real price you have to go one by one instead of having the whole selection by date and real price at once of almost the whole month as it used to be. Also, now it's more confusing with the choice of light, standard and flex. If you go by the price and click on light, it tells you you cannot buy luggage at this point so you don't know how much it's going to cost you afterwards. By then, you change your first choice and look for another date or price. If you change your mind and try to go back to the first choice, invariable it is more expensive than the first time you clicked on it. I don't think you are really trying to get the best service for the customer but you do manage to confuse and alienate them.

The webpage for paying via Visa debit wouldn't load properly, so had to pay via PayPal for which there is a charge. Also, my partner booked her ticket on the App and was quoted a cheaper price than my online booking for exactly the same date and trip, how is this fair!

Booking was a nightmare

I Cuba, and proved imppossible to book a flight online. Website not working properly. Got my daughter to book from UK. Because she put special assistance required, it would only make a reservation and said someone would call. They did not. There was no facility to pay online after ticking for assistance. The reservation was cancelled without any notification. VERY stressful as we were early returning to UK due to ill health on holiday. Daughter rebooked, but without requesting special assistance and was able to pay and confirm booking. She ten tried to book special assistance. Customer services gave her numbers which didn't exist anymore. I tried contacting the number given on the website for Air France office in Havana, and had phone put down on me twice when I spoke in English. Now back in UK, and Air France trying to take a charge for a 3rd ticket (two of us travelled)from my daughters bank account. The flight was fine, but the awful booking experience/ website means I would never recommend what used to be my favourite airline.

Damaged hand luggage: On flight AF1314, Paris CDG to Birmingham BHX, 27 December 2023, my hand luggage was put in the aircraft hold. Upon arrival, my small suitcase was damaged, no longer usable. I filled in the relevant complaint form online and sent it, with photographs, to Air France, as soon as I collected the suitcase at Birmingham Airport. I have heard NOTHING from Air France. Today is 2 March 2024. Very poor service.

Be truthful with flights available

I booked a flight from a choice of 3 available flights. Within an hour of booking i then received an email advising that i had been moved to an earlier flight (which i didnt want). So i now have to go through a refund procedure. If flights are NOT available in the first place then they shouldnt be offered. Very underhand marketing tactics of Bait and switch by Airfrance - very poor

I paid extra for seats (proof of payment and seat reservation at hand), and only noticed when boarding the flight that Air France seated me in my original seat.

I had difficulty adding my travel document, passport, that was already stored in my profile. The step of selecting it seemed non obvious. Much better to invite the user to add a stored travel document in a clean and easy step. Additionally, although I had previously added my document, the name and gender was not shown. I found I had to delete and re add the information. But this was a minor problem in 2 frustrating hours trying to book a flight. Strangely enough, the Airfrance website works much better than the KLM site. I had attempted to book flights yesterday on KLM and the process failed four times with "sorry there has been an error on our end, its not been possible to complete your booking online" or similar. Switching to airfrance (swiss german version) to make the booking solved the problem. It is not the first time I have encountered problems with the KLM website. It has, in my opinion, always ranked as probably the worst airline site in the world to make a booking with, and I used to be a professional travelling regularly for business and using many different airlines over 30 years or so. In fact I just reviewed my bookings and see that despite apparently successfully re adding and selecting my valid passport information, the site still informs me I have a task to complete before my journey: Add your travel documents!!!! Grrrr.

Flight insurance worthless if >64

I took the insurance witht the flights and it was miss-selling to me. Nowhere does it tell you that you must be 64 years old or less to be able to make a claim!!! They knew full well from my passport how old I was and yet they still took the money. If I hadn't taken the trouble to read the very small print, I could have travelled uninsured. I've cancelled the insurance as you get 14 days to do that, but the refund? Nowhere to be seen. Allianz says it's not them and it must come from AF. Typical. I'm unimpressed.
