I'm still a loyal customer regardless of the things you have change on the website which, in my opinion, have been changed for the worse. For instance, now to book a flight the choice states the price as "from £..." and when you click it's a lot more expensive than you thought it was. Then, in order to look for the real price you have to go one by one instead of having the whole selection by date and real price at once of almost the whole month as it used to be. Also, now it's more confusing with the choice of light, standard and flex. If you go by the price and click on light, it tells you you cannot buy luggage at this point so you don't know how much it's going to cost you afterwards. By then, you change your first choice and look for another date or price. If you change your mind and try to go back to the first choice, invariable it is more expensive than the first time you clicked on it. I don't think you are really trying to get the best service for the customer but you do manage to confuse and alienate them.

The webpage for paying via Visa debit wouldn't load properly, so had to pay via PayPal for which there is a charge. Also, my partner booked her ticket on the App and was quoted a cheaper price than my online booking for exactly the same date and trip, how is this fair!

Every time I have contacted Air France customer service department since 23/03/2022 I have found them to be incompetent. I have had a problem since 23/03/2022 which was caused by a member of staff not doing something when I tried to move a flight because of a friend getting Covid-19 just before flights to Costa Rica. Their policy at the time was that you could move flights up to the day before flying. We moved the flight to the beginning of 2023, being told that we could move them again when we knew the dates we wanted. When we tried to do so in April we were told it couldn't be done as my friend was a 'no show'. Since then I have spent 30 to 40 hours trying to solve this problem either by email or on the phone. Every time I have thought I had it sorted it was not. I have found that the Air France customer service department can not or do not forward the emails I have sent to the correct department even though we have sent them to the email address we were told to by a member of staff. I/we have done everything we have been asked to do but still have not had a satisfactory solution to this problem. I have now contacted Aviation ADR to try to solve our problem. Yesterday I contacted Air France customer service department to book flights to Costa Rica. Yet again I was given misinformation and what should have been a simple task, as I knew what flights I wanted, took over an hour.

I bought a ticket and end up being harassing from one of your agent on Europe call center on the 8th January, If someone is buying a ticket and you know that France transit visa is a must for not french people before selling the ticket you should unless let them know about, I didn't take my trip on 08th of January thereafter I spoke with one of your agent to help me with my situation with all his arrogance harassed me with big F word tha fuck off and fuck you Negga,I book you for the 10th with KLM and hang up the phone on my face .and today went to airport to check-in ,I have been told that I wasn't in that flight no ticket number, I am going to sew airfrance for everything that put me in, I did bought a ticket thought actually is a good company and professional staff big mistake of my life ....my tick reference number vja56r

Missing!!! Where are air France Customer Services?

Where are air France Customer Services? Absolutely appalling service which required me to stand next to a check in desk for 4 hours to use up the time for the check in to close and then claim I was a no show. Absolutely disgusting! To be directed to a customer services board showing a contact numbe because the check in staff were not interested in resolving my ticket change. To a number that then sent a link to give you the same number.. Where are your customer services? I spoke to a what's app option. Not interested in resolving the ticket change. No option to actually speak to a person. I have used air France for many of my personal and business trips in the past. Never again ! This has been one really negative experience deliberately designed to avoid direct customer service interaction.

Travel ruined as flight not confirmed and no one to contact

I booked and paid for a flight on line yesterday evening but was unable to check in and create an account as the Air France website was down all night and this morning. On arrival at 4.00 this morning, for the 5.55 flight, I was told I had no ticket as the booking did not go through. This caused me considerable stress, losing a day of work, having to wait all day at the airport to fly out this evening with Ethiopian Airlines instead. Such a shame as I have flown with Air France before, albeit a long time ago, when there were people to talk to on the end of a phone... I stupidly thought confirmation meant I had a seat as I paid on line. I only hope the funds were not authorised into Air France. The staff on the counter was not especially helpful either and unsympathetic.

Tres decue

Je vous ecris car, Lors de l`achat de mon billet Air France, a la suite de la greve de Eurostar, Vendredi 1er Dec le matin jài eu une tres mauvaise experience. Au moment de payer mon vol premierement cotise a 250pounds a chaque occasion que j`essayais de valider mon achat mon paiement etait refusè et le tarrif a augmentait 4 fois jusqu`a 680 pounds qui ète varaiemnt trop elevè et je nàvais pas le choix de partir a une autre date et Air France a profite de cette greve de train pour faire payer ces clients habituels une somme exhorbitante. En plus vous m`avez reserve sur 2 vols additionals èronès. J`ai volè sur le vol du 5:35PM et vous màvez booke sur le 1:45pm et sur le 19h:35. Tres decu par cette experience air france, Sandra Chollet

Website not working and had to pay telephone booking fee

I was trying to book a multi destination flight, when trying to get to the payment page online, an error popped up. I had to call the customer service who made a temporary booking with an additional fee which made me very upset as I was paying for the fact that your website was not working and they told me that I can call back anytime to pay as the customer service is open 24/7. I called on Sunday at 6:30pm and to my surprise, the customer service was closed. I had to contact an agent on WhatsApp which solved the issue but I would have liked to be able to pay directly at the online price without an additional fee and be told the correct information regarding the opening hours of the call center.

Reference PR4JVD I bought two tickets for my children and two Youth Passes (Carte Jeune). These say a free hold baggage item is included in their fares. It wasn't. I now have to pay extra. This was misleading. Also, the Carte Jeune/Youth Pass only applies to AF flights, but half the flights were with KLM. This is unfair. There is also supposed to be a discount. This wasn't indicated when booking. There is also an extra charge for each seat for each flight for 'Youth Pass' holders. This cancels out any discount. Lastly, there seems to be no general complaint area in the 'Contact Us' section, so I haven't been able to contact AF about these issues. I am really disappointed.

Unanswered Questions

Hello, I used the site to ask for feedback about taking a bicycle as special baggage. While the agents responded quite quickly, I found that some of my specific questions were not answered despite me asking them several times. This included a question about setting up a temporary booking & I never got an answer for this. Separately I asked whether I could take a bike on a non Air France/KLM segment (Copa Airlines) of my inbound journey. In the end I had to contact Copa Airlines directly to establish if I could or couldn’t take a bike as special baggage.

No way to speak to a human being who knows anything and can give good useful information. Cheap labour used in other parts of the world where the people have no clue what you are talking about and have such strong accents they cannot be understood. Can't spell English words and names accurately so ticket is null and void for travel. Misinform about connection times and when traveling with a dog. I need up educating the agent about the flights! I then bought a ticket and immediately had to refund it. If I could use another airline I would. KLM even worse.

AF cancelled my reservation but forgot to tell me

After confirming my reservation via email, apparently AF cancelled the reservation they claim due to the credit card not approving the transaction - but even if true, AF failed to notify me and I only learned of this when I went to check in for the flight. Having this happen the Friday before Christmas put our entire holiday plans at risk - unbelievably poor processes and inexcusable.. We had to purchase new tickets on a different flight as our flight was now sold out - they were more expensive but at least there was availability on the same day.

We were refused to board the flight at Heathrow to Johannesburg despite being at the airport 2 hours early. We had checked in and everything so it was in your system that we showed up. Despite that your system was showing we didn't show up and blocked us from booking the next flight to Paris. This was not a holiday, we were going to a funeral of my brother who died unexpectedly and is a loved father, son and brother. You have the most evil supervisors/manager at Heathrow. I am going to make sure the world knows how you treat your customers.

I never travelled to Congo Kinshasa , the Embassy did not issue me a visa,the requested £510.00 for visa, £135.00 for visa, £250.00 for having British passport and not born in Congo, £25.00 for one day visa and £100.00 for a cover up of a stamp was missing on one of the death certificate, they delayed all process to another two weeks then couldn't travel again, I then applied for cancellation and money being reimbursed up to now ......airfrance has not done it yet. I'm still waiting for the money to be reimbursed.

While Boarding

While booking, no information was given about having a visit visa of connecting flight. I was travelling from UK to Morocco and the connecting flight was via France. They didn’t let me go through and told me that can’t even take the France connecting flight without France visa. I wasn’t interested in coming out of France airport but they said that even for connecting flights, I need the connecting country visa. It cost me £500 and none was refunded. All the blame was put on me that I have to check rules.

Horrible experience and will take a train before i ever purchase another Air France ticket. I will row to my destination before flying with Air France. Sitting on the plan le with no update just for them to cancel the flight. When we got off there was no one around to tell any of the passengers where to go . They then booked me on a flight the following day that was no longer direct (even though my initial flight was direct). No hotel voucher only a voucher for airport food .. horrible

Have contact info Explain when the chat service is available Have a method of initiating that more consistency across KLM V's AF, why have two websites? AT least have the same prices, restrictions etc. I don't want to contact you via tik-tok, give me an email or a phone number, let me choose what country that number is for. Remember my passport details in flyblue. don't send me unsolicited SMS, it's costing me roaming charges. just of the top of my head

Flights good but support not so good

The actual flights are good, but the supporting services are not so good, specifically the website and Air France customer services. When using the website, it is common for the prices to increase when you do another search just minutes later. The customer services take months to respond to any complaint, & sometimes do not respond at all. And it seems impossible to talk to an agent, unless it relates to à booking or new sale.

I tried to contact AirFrance by phone as when I was trying to book a flight the flight was booked but no charge was made, so I had to come back 24 hours later and buy it again. I was not able to get any help to know what to do and I got helped by other customers on the Internet. I just booked with AirFrance because it was an emergency and couldn´t find any other option but will try to use AirFrance as less as possible.

Very delayed flight, so we missed our connecting flight. Stod in line 1,5 hours (10.30 p.m.) to get a hotel voucher, and got a hotel 40 minuts away in taxi. Got bus vouchers, they wouldn't give us a taxi voucher, but no buses went to the hotel, so we had to get a taxi anyway, and pay 90€ each way. Got 4 hours sleep, before we had to leave for the airport again, to get to the flight they had rebooked for us.

Air France and KLM Rip off

Having been given a discount code by AF and another by KLM, only the day before booking, only to be told neither was now valid, makes a mockery of this airline's trustworthiness. During the booking process, the fare went up, went down and went up yet again, all while the site was failing to complete the booking. If I really want to feel valued, it will not be through booking with AF/KLM Dreadful service

So the app wouldn’t allow me to pay for my flight with a credit card. I was able to pay with a debit card which i wouldn’t do! I then rang and the man on phone couldn’t honour the price on the app and I just had to keep trying it go onto your site via safari. That did work but then within the space of 1 he the flight price went up by £100!! Absolutely disappointed with the terrible customer service.
