I loved the fact that the results guided real changes in my diet. And these changes helped me to solve long lasting health problems, like a chronic diarrhea. I received the results super quickly and they are easy to interpret. It was great to have insights about deficiencies and even metal intolerance (I have a lot of body piercings and it will definitely help in future purchases). It would help if there was a clear note that the list of items in the results are ONLY those items I am sensitive to, as at first sight it gave me the impression that I was intolerant to everything that was tested. Also, an initial email making it clear that well not receive anything in our address, we should just go ahead and send the hair to the address - I saw some customers complaining they never received their kits, so making it a bit clearer that there’s no kit to be received would help

I did my first sensitivity check one year ago, I took on board what it said and made a few changes, spent a fortune on supplements it suggested I was low on. One year on and I retook the test, and maybe due to my own lack of understanding everything had changed. A new set of vitamin deficiencies, different foods I am sensitive too and last time I had a sensitivity to budgerigar’s and this year I don’t but do to wasps 🤷🏻‍♀️ surely you are either sensitive to things or not, otherwise how are you ever meant to conquer these things. I get it’s just a hair strand test, and not overly priced but even so how can everything be different?

Have since read that hair samples do.not give any indication of food intolerance and its only possible via blood tests so feel have been conned as not clear when purchasing

My GP did blood tests to check results from sensitivity test results and they came back clear and did not agree with a number of imbalances. As there were quite a number of imbalances according to hair sensitivity results I was very concerned but relieved after blood tests came back. Therefore I was very disappointed and alarmed by these discrepancies.

Didn't pick up the one intolerance that I know I have. Don't agree with vitamin and mineral deficiencies identified, e.g. magnesium, which I already take as a supplement. Recommended foods are ones that I already eat in shedloads, especially fruit and vegetables. The only point of interest was lactose intolerance, which I'm looking at as a possibility.

These may be due to medication, previous testing methodology, or the known trigger may be a food allergy rather than a sensitivity. I found it to be very contradictive. On one hand they were saying that something was bad for you or could effect your health and on the other they were telling you to eat it. They said to do this for 4 weeks trying different foods and then apply for a further test. Seems to be a way of trying to get more money out of you.

Nothing that I am actually sensitive to actually showed up. I am not talking allergies but I have known intolerance for garlic, for example, it makes me tired and itchy, which did not show at all. Also tomatoes produce a skin reaction, these did not show. Makes it difficult to believe other findings.

After reading more about hair sample sensitivity checks, it doesn’t actually sound like a very reliable source. I have therefore found it difficult to know what the best next steps are following my results as there seems to be quite a large about of things that had a high percentage of intolerance.

Missing my main triggers

After years of stomach issues and IBS, I decided to try this as it was advertised to me on Facebook. The results are missing my main triggers, and tell me I'm intolerant to things that blood tests say I'm not. Haven't tested the results yet, but this makes me feel like they'll be less promising.

My partner and myself had the couples test and it was easy enough to do but the results were complex and misleading. One part said avoid certain foods you showed an intolerance to and in the next section it said to eat the same foods so not really sure what to make of it.

A poor service

In comparison to other tests I have had with companies offering this service, I found this to be lacking a great deal of information. I am thankful that I had the test done when it was on special offer as I would have felt ‘ripped off’ if I had paid full price.

Probably as disappointed as I expected

Not really sure of the science behind this, but felt it was worth a punt for £20. Results pretty useless - some of the top scores were things I'm not at all sensitive too, and those things I'm known to be allergic to didn't come up at all.

No real information from this.

The food list was mostly stuff I don't eat, and where there were things I eat there was no clarification - for example, I'm supposedly sensitive to 'button mushrooms' but does that mean I can eat the same mushrooms once they're open? Etc.

My tests came back completely wrong said I was sensitive to wheat ..Bananas..which I'm not completely missed im lactose intolerant & onions too when I challenged the results I got fobbed off

I can see you have spoken with one of our LiveChat agents on Facebook messenger regarding your results who was able to confirm that lactose intolerance is not a food sensitivity but rather caused by a deficiency in lactase to digest the lactose and this would therefore require blood sugar or hydrogen breath testing to diagnose. Issue with the sample not getting there, which is no fault of their own of course. But trying to communicate with them to get a refund or try and rectify issue is impossible!!

Not convinced

I was surprised that dairy intolerance wasn't picked up, and allergy to nuts. I know I only paid for the basic testing, but still, I'm not sure how accurate it is overall.

Please be aware, we are not an allergy test and allergies cannot be detected from hair, this is correct. Allergies and sensitivities are separate medical conditons and cause by different reactions in the body, and display as very different symptoms. Allergy testing would require a blood IgE test or a skin prick/patch test. We are also unable to diagnose lactose intolerance as this is not a food sensitivity but rather the body lacking lactase to digest lactose. Lactose intolerance testing requires blood sugar testing, hydrogen breath testing, or less often, stool testing. Take the results with a pinch of salt

I was diagnosed with IBS a number of years ago and this test picked up very few of my serious triggers. I wouldn't rely completely on the results here.

Please be aware that our test is not an allergy test and cannot detect allergies to known allergies such as nuts, etc. Allergies and sensitivities are separate medical conditions, and allergy testing requires a blood IgE test or a skin prick/patch test. Sensitivity symptoms can be more delayed and subtle from allergy symptoms, and can often include fatigue, headaches, and brain fog, as well as the usual digestive discomforts such as diarrhea, constipation, bloating and excess gas. Symptoms of a sensitivity can show from 10 minutes to 48 hours after consuming an item, making it very difficult to identify a sensitivity.
