I bought a Kisae Abso 1230 dc to dc charger from SimplySplitCharge in 2019. But the unit developed a fault — with very little use. But it was out of warranty by the time the fault materialised. Apparently it cannot be repaired. Ricardo at Kisae offered to send me a new unit from Canada for $160 plus shipping. When I kicked up a fuss they offered to send me a new unit for free but I still would have to cover the shipping from Canada plus import duty. That’s still a lot of money! decided instead to buy/use another brand.
Is it a design fault? SimplySplitCharge think the unit is reliable. So, they offered me NOTHING and were very slow to respond/apologise. How nice of them! But the fault it developed is well known and documented here: https://youtu.be/HKrHWwK6bqY
So, I’ve decided not to use SimplySplitCharge anymore (after previously having good experiences with them). And I certainly do NOT recommend Kisae: measly one-year warranty, expensive product, design fault, non-repairable, expected to cover the expensive shipping costs and import duties for a replacement! Really? AVOID.
