I've not used lampandlight.co.uk before but as I was looking for something specific for my home I found them via a search of the internet. I found exactly what I needed and was pleased that the price offered was not ridiculously high as I had seen by other sellers.
Finding stuff and adding to my basket was very easy to do. The checkout process was also very straight forward and all without an app and done on a mobile phone.
With Christmas on its way I was informed delivery would be in the new year, not an issue as this was for home and not seen as a Christmas gift, however all was delivered very quickly.
Packaging was well designed with a seperate box, padded, for the marble base.The only damage I found was a small chip in the marble base but decided, that as it was underneath and not able to be seen or touched when the light was in use, to use it as supplied.

Placed an order, received a Yodel tracking number, but they never dispatched the item to the courier. Then a week later they emailed to say "my return has been processed and refund will be sent within three days"... What on earth...? Wasted several hours of my time reviewing and comparing lighting and then simply didn't dispatch the order. I'm guessing they're just an intermediary reseller and once they'd taken my money they couldn't source the items below the price they charged me. So they simply wasted time. Take my advice and buy from established retailers. Even if it appears to cost you slightly more the reality is you risk not getting the items from a place like this so you end up buying from the reputable place, you suffer an unnecessary delay and you waste hours of your life.

Lack of communication and care
I received an email informing me my package would be delivered on the 18th or 19th. As the property it's getting delivered to is empty it's important I know the dates. My husband went to the house today to await the delivery but found it wedged next to bush in front of the house. I checked the tracking and found that it had been delivered on the 16th and I had not been informed. This means my package was out all night and could have water damage as it rained last night. I would not have minded receiving it early if I had been informed.

Disappointed with goods
Received my parcel which included four leaded glass panels for the lamp holder.One of the leaded lights is cracked and unserviceable.The clips for securing the glass, will not tighten sufficiently to secure the glass.In my opinion the parcel should have been marked as fragile,handle with care.

More information on it only has a 2 pin plug on it and you have to fit the adapter 3 pin plug on it which is not easy once you worked out how it went
And the shade could off been a bit larger as it’s tall lamp

Cover Plates - Too Thin
I ordered some cover plates for covering very large downlight holes when wanting to install spotlights. They looked great on the website, but they’re actually only 1 or 2 millimetres thick, and so warp when you go to screw up your downlight if the hole is quite large. I’ll now need to replace them or fashion some spacers for the holes. If they were 5mm thick or so, I think they’d do the job well. They also arrived with packaging stickers stuck to them, which I had to remove residue of with WD40.

Outside the EU you have to import the goods yourself
You must clearly point out on the site that the price does not include customs duty and VAT and that users who are like me in Serbia must organize the import of goods into their own country. The whole site looks like it's a local company and you'll get the goods the same day after 6 p.m. and then you realize that the goods are in the Netherlands and they call you to organize the forwarding and import of the goods to your country. I would never have decided on this purchase if I had known what it was about. I would like to point out that you do not have this information on the site and that according to the law on consumer protection in Serbia, you should have it.

Suspended track lights
Delivery was efficient. Product instructions are poor. Advertised for residential use but was unable to fit myself. There are no ceiling caps provided to cover the main cables hanging out the ceiling or any hooks provided with the suspension kits. Therefore ended up using an electrician when could have fitted myself if all items were provided. Overall the lights look great but not worth the RRP plus electrician labour. Also ordered 9 suspension kits and 10 came. Customer service sent 10th one out straight away. Wasn’t offered any discount for for the poor experience as already purchased with 10% promotion.

Lovely lamps but two things need improving
Lovely lamps but two things - there was no adjustment clip for smaller bayonet fittings provided as with many other lampshade companies, meaning delay and additional cost before install, this should be a standard to remove as needed, not an additional item. I bought two lampshades and unfortunately both came creased even though the delivery boxes were not damaged. These creases can’t be removed and will have to do our best to hide them but must have occured before / whilst being boxed. Annoying issues but otherwise very nice products and pleased with how they look

The lamp arrived with white sticky substance in several places on the cord. Also, it came with an EU plug and a very big adapter for the UK. The lamp description did not say this. I don't an EU plug and a big adapter because the adapter is too big and too visible and I have only a small space in which to plug it in alongside several other plugs. I have chosen to return the lamp. However the communication for the return was prompt.

UPS a nightmare to deal with to return
Everything was great easy to order etc but I decided to return the items and it turned into a real hassle dealing with UPS. I ended up running back and forth to the drop off point three times with the parcels which are large and heavy boxes because they wouldn't except the parcels without 3 copies of the commercial invoice. It just would have saved a lot of hassle if this instruction was in the email sent with the documents.
