I've not used lampandlight.co.uk before but as I was looking for something specific for my home I found them via a search of the internet. I found exactly what I needed and was pleased that the price offered was not ridiculously high as I had seen by other sellers.
Finding stuff and adding to my basket was very easy to do. The checkout process was also very straight forward and all without an app and done on a mobile phone.
With Christmas on its way I was informed delivery would be in the new year, not an issue as this was for home and not seen as a Christmas gift, however all was delivered very quickly.
Packaging was well designed with a seperate box, padded, for the marble base.The only damage I found was a small chip in the marble base but decided, that as it was underneath and not able to be seen or touched when the light was in use, to use it as supplied.

Placed an order, received a Yodel tracking number, but they never dispatched the item to the courier. Then a week later they emailed to say "my return has been processed and refund will be sent within three days"... What on earth...? Wasted several hours of my time reviewing and comparing lighting and then simply didn't dispatch the order. I'm guessing they're just an intermediary reseller and once they'd taken my money they couldn't source the items below the price they charged me. So they simply wasted time. Take my advice and buy from established retailers. Even if it appears to cost you slightly more the reality is you risk not getting the items from a place like this so you end up buying from the reputable place, you suffer an unnecessary delay and you waste hours of your life.

Cover Plates - Too Thin
I ordered some cover plates for covering very large downlight holes when wanting to install spotlights. They looked great on the website, but they’re actually only 1 or 2 millimetres thick, and so warp when you go to screw up your downlight if the hole is quite large. I’ll now need to replace them or fashion some spacers for the holes. If they were 5mm thick or so, I think they’d do the job well. They also arrived with packaging stickers stuck to them, which I had to remove residue of with WD40.

Very promptly delivered and generally good quality
Very promptly delivered and a good quality light (wood stem) for the price. However, it is a little wobbly on the base and we can't seem to tighten it up any more though that doesn't affect the light and the shade is also of good quality.

The ceiling fan is stylish.
The ceiling fan is stylish and, after a bit of fiddling, works well. It’s mostly made of plastic so it’s lighter than you might think.
The packaging was good, and it was delivered in good time.
The criticisms:
The installation instructions are very basic. Luckily I have some idea of how to fit this kind of thing, but some may struggle.
The return address. It was delivered quickly, so was obviously sent from inside the UK, but the return address is in the Netherlands!

Simple & Easy :)
All smoothly and lamps arrived soon after. I called up the next day because I wanted to add 2 more lamps to the order of 4. I was told that isn't possible and I would just have to place another order. In my world that is a waste of resources, getting another van having to do a trip through busy streets. Sometimes I wished companies would be a bit more flexible.

The lights we bought are really lovely, and were a very good price.the only negative for me was the time it took for my purchase to arrive ,considering it was sup to be next day delivery I had to wait a week, slower than most companies that I purchase from, but if you are in no hurry then a good place to purchase from.

Good website, service but products need to be checked before dispatch
Good website, easy ordering process, quick delivery with good communication. But the light/ fan combo light fitting was slightly bent so that the fan hit the led strip. This as easily fixed with a hairdryer and a weight, but products need to checked before dispatch.

The only negative I have is the lack of communication between order and delivery. No tracking is available until it’s being delivered, the delivery times are over a week and your invoice only arrives after delivery. Their feedback form arrived before my products

Wall lights are lovely and excellent delivery via Yodel. But, when I called to say I was having difficulty using my payment card on their website, the call person very rudely suggested there may not be enough money in my account. Not very customer friendly!

Vintage style lamp
Selection of lamps was good, I would have preferred a more distressed looking brass lamp but the only one I liked was no longer available plus it was too short.
Overall I am pleased with the one I have and it looks good in the room

I like to value for money and the quality of this lamp. The only thing was that the balance could be better as it tends to tilt to one side if knocked. Also needs better instructions on how to adjust to right height.
