It's as if Mum and Dad have gone away and left the kids in charge!
We needed 22 dehumidifiers (yes, 22!) so I read the Which report, decided on a Meaco, read some glowing reviews about their customer service, so went directly to their website to order one to begin with. Big flashing box telling me to order within the next hour or so (by 1.00pm) to get next day delivery, so I ordered. I received an automated message confirming the order with next day delivery and advice that I would be notified upon despatch.
Heard nothing more that day or the next so I emailed to enquire. I was told that they had the order, and it was in their system and I would receive notification when it was due to arrive. I asked why my confirmation email specifically told me that I would receive it the next day and I'd heard nothing. I was told that Parcelforce collections were the cause of the problem. There was no explanation from the agent other that to blame either Covid-19 or Parcelforce. There was no offer to compensate, even by offering a warranty extension, so I cancelled. I'm still waiting for a refund eight days later, so I suppose I'll need to contact them again.
An interesting footnote is that by then having to shop around I found the very same item £40 cheaper elsewhere, but they only had 15 in stock!
