I purchased an item that was advertised as being in stock. It took several days before I was contacted by the business to be inform me that there was no stock. I was asked whether I would like to keep the (paid) order open or wait (for an undisclosed amount of time) for the item to be available or cancel my order.
A credible business does not advertise products in as being stock unless it's readily available for dispatch. Nor do they wait until they discover they can't source it either, before contacting the customer.
I reserve 1 star ratings for businesses which fail to issue a refund, in which case I open a dispute case with a third party, eg PayPal. So, this is a two stars rating, only because they refunded the amount I had paid without longer delays.
