Good value product. Really pleased with our climbing frame and slide. It was fairly straightforward to put together. You do need two people and a decent amount of DIY competency. Please note that the timber is cut to the required lengths but no pilot holes are pre-drilled. Delivery was a little later than on website but when with courier they telephoned and arranged the delivery day. One very happy little boy! Very impressed with the quality and hope it will last years to come!

The delivery times stated were over a month less than the delivery time we were then quoted as soon as Wickey had taken our money. If you're going to have a big sale with the aim of attracting more customers then you should expect increased demand for the products and organise your business effectively. It was entirely misleading to state - before purchase- delivery timescales that weren't feasible but which the customer is only told about after they've parted with their money.

Our playframe purchase and assembley experience........

Firstly it took some 4 weeks for the playframe to arrive. I would say that the instructions are nowhere near detailed enough and some of the pieces had no instructions at all! There were two wooden struts missing from our package. It took two professional carpenters two whole days to put up our playframe. I think the quality of the wood is excellent but would advise anyone interested to really look at the ammount of work involved in putting one together.

Mixed bag

Suffered immediate disappointment with this order -- the delivery window as stated during the order process was missed, not just by days but by weeks, and we were not informed of the delay until we asked for an update. Wickey ought to know that these products are often for kids' birthdays and dates are all-important; if you can't deliver on time, it's a deal-breaker and we won't order from you. The completed frame itself does do what it's supposed to. The wood is good quality with little distortion, measured and cut well, fits together as it should, and our boys (4yo) really love using it every day. However, for this price, it would be nice if the pieces were also pre-drilled, not just because DIY measuring and drilling is very time-consuming, but also because some of the tools supplied were simply not up to the job. For instance, a short 10mm drill bit is included, but for the larger fittings, a long 12mm bit was essential. And if you are drilling at home, make sure you have plenty of 3mm wood bits because doing many holes in a short time can cause them to heat, bend, and snap. Yes, I'm not a pro woodworker, but I suspect neither are most of the dads looking to build these things in their garden. Instructions are fairly easy to work through (all pictures, no words) but there are some errors or mis-prints, and some elements like the steering wheel and telescope had no instruction at all. Taking plenty of time to consider how some steps are achieved may well lead to finding a better way, such as the metal swing supports (it's much better to slide them in place first, then drill through the hole). We had bags of screws and plastic fittings left over on completion, and according to the paperwork, they shouldn't even have been there. Better than being short, I suppose. At the end of the day, our kids are delighted with it, and that makes it all worthwhile.

Great Price, Good product - let down by poor after sales/customer service!

Although it’s a .co.uk website, you actually getting a service from a country outside of the UK - produced in Germany! The price whilst sales are on is great. Item comes shipped even more flat packed then an ikea wardrobe. The canvas parts of the frame are not pre cut, or etched out, instead you have a roll and measurement details in the guide which you then have to try and do your best with. Good if your into arts and crafts I have missing parts, and a lot of wood came splintered, chunks missing, part missing and fixing missing. have used the contact form to get in contact, but once submitted there is no acknowledgment it has been received and almost two weeks in I have had no response The aftercare sales service so far is an indication that I wouldn’t use the sight again, nor recommend!

Delivery delayed and Long build time

Delivery delayed without contact, only updated when I emailed the team. Delivery team here did not deliver on planned day. Play frame is great overall. There was no indication of how many pieces the frame would come in - it was individual pieces of wood making the construction time lengthy.

Slow delivery and no update/tracking.

Order was made and confirmed on the 1st of July, with expected delivery to be between 12 and 19th of July. There was no delivery by 19th! I tried to contact customer service and left several emails, asking where my order was and for a tracking reference number; the response was poor and not reassuring at all. My order did eventually arrived on the 25th of July - to late for my son's birthday! WILL NOT BE ORDERING AGAIN FROM WIKEY

Basically a pallet of split and bowed wood. Took forever to sand down and try and make it half decent to put up. Have contacted wickey and sent numerous pictures for them to tell me they would send out more wood and would notify me when it was due for dispatch. Have emailed again since to see when it's coming and no reply. Not worth the money at all

I placed my order nearly a month ago and still no sign of my daughter's new play frame! I got a vague email telling me they'd received a lot of orders so my order would be delayed... But no details on how long the delay would be. I've emailed to ask and they still haven't confirmed a delivery date... Have I been scammed? I'm currently nearly £1.5k out of pocket with nothing to show for it!

Misleading delivery timescale on website and order confirmation

Their website stated a delivery timescale of 10-14 days so we placed an order. After that date had passed got a generic email saying there was a delay with the order, after chasing up twice we eventually get a revised / estimated delivery timescale of 5 to 7 weeks! Not happy at all with this. Will hold on a bit longer but may well cancel and look for a refund if the order is delayed yet again. Very disappointed.

Ordered for a birthday present and it was confirmed when they took the money it would be delivered between 6th & 12th June. I emailed to check as hadn’t even heard from them and they replied like it’s a normal thing to say that it’s now going to be delivered by the end of June. I am not holding my breath as they didn’t even tell me it was delayed. Poor service wish I had gone with the other company now. Very disappointed and no communication unless you contact them. They don’t care once you have paid for the item and don’t know even contact you it’s just a generic email they send everyone.

DO NOT BUY FROM WICKEY

Ordered a play set for my kids. Website stated arrival within 2 weeks. 4 weeks later and it hasn't even been dispatched yet. Really poor communication. Impossible to contact. Overall extremely poor. No idea if the climbing frame is even going to arrive at this stage. Would not recommend.
