I was looking 2 x mother and child lights for my sunroom and found Lamp and Light site on the net. 75% reviews were 5 star but a number were very poor and on the face of things very disconcerting. However as I read through them I was amazed at how petty most were, ‘ I didn’t know they were not an English based company’, ‘my package was damaged in transit’, ‘I had difficulty fitting the electrical adapter’ etc. I was astounded by how childish these reviews were. Now don’t get me wrong, bad service and/or product will get me on top of my soap box shouting it to everyone. But then again credit where credit is due. I ordered my 2 lamps and had them within 3 days. They arrived in excellent condition and I had them erected in about 10 minutes each. No real issues for anyone with more than 2 brain cells. The light and effect they give is absolutely excellent. My bonus was I got them in their sale. I am very satisfied and would have no issues ordering from them again, or recommending them to family and friends.

We received a text that our order was left "in a safe place with a card" describing where to find it. However, when we returned home, there was no package, nor card left through our mail slot. We live on a pedestrian lane with no stoop, steps or yard. There's no sidewalk. It's just the street and our door. If a package was left in front of our door, that's not safe at all. Anyone could pick it up and take it. There was no card or message saying where the package had been left. Only a day later did someone on the street come to our door and say they noticed our package had been sitting outside unattended and they took it to their house for safe keeping. This isn't acceptable at all. The base of the lamp is scuffed, the globe is dirty and has glass bubbles in it. It's too expensive for a delicate product like that to be in that condition, left unattended, and no communication as to where it is. Please give us an explanation of what we can do to get a better quality product and how to rectify our experience with this order. My best-

Customer service has been very hard to get in contact with, they are helpful when you finally speak with them. The quality of the lights is good, however the taller of the bollard lights I ordered arrived in terrible condition, poorly packed, scratched, and parts missing. These were supposedly new items back ordered. What showed up were previously opened and hastily repacked.

Thanks for sending me a prompt to review the product, it's been a week since I ordered it and the Yodel link you sent me on the day of purchase still says: Parcel status: We're expecting your parcel from your sender. We will provide updates here once we receive it. Estimated delivery date: Unavailable at this time Frankly I was expecting a faster service than this.

lampandlight.co.uk? Beware this shop is not in the uk but in the Netherlands -came with a two pin plug & adapter. The lamp I ordered was half price so I thought wow it must be quite nice - no - it was cheap looking - would not want to even pay the half price. The returns are free but had to wait for the return label email due to a gliche in the system they said

I ordered 13 items of which 6 that I opened were damaged. Although the company have agreed a refund, I have had to use my valuable weekend time arranging for 68 labels to be printed, the goods repacked and the labels fixed to the boxes. When that is all done I then have to arranged DHL to collect, again using my time to be on for collection. Not impressed at all.

Delivery was quick and the ordering process was easy. However my product arrived slightly damaged. The box that the bulb came in was dented and torn, luckily the bulb was fine. But the lamp itself just doesn’t look good. I would expect a slightly rustic feel so I didn’t expect the surface to be completely smooth, but there are clear signs of damage on the lamp.

It started off well when I got a message from UPS to say they'd created a label but then heard no more. I emailed lamp and light but heard nothing so I phoned. Another package was sent out quickly but Yodel failed to deliver to the right address for 5 days before they delivered it to my neighbour instead, so it was a long time before I received my order.

ordered a lamp said it was with Yodel could not track the order. Sent email stating this said I need to wait for 48 hours then it would be sorted was not sorted. I then phoned the company who said the lamp had been lost asked for a refund. very Very poor customer service. Would not order from this company again. Would steer clear from this company

Lamp described as 85cm length but fiscally have 70cm. Bulbs E14 it's not best option for this lamp due to maximum 40W per bulb for kitchen it's not enough. Nice design and easy fitting. Would give better feedback but I don't like fit long style bulbs (Edison type) to make lamp extension for correct lamp size, otherwise all good. Thank you

I baught light from your company that where not fire safe which I didn't realise so obviously can not be used have tried to return them 3 times but they keep getting sent back to me so I have now lost £59 as they will not except them back, will definitely never order from this company again and definitely would not recommend them.

The standing lamps I ordered both used European plugs. One had an adaptor supplied with it but the other didn't. So I had to find an adaptor to use before I could plug them in. There was no indication in the buying and ordering process that the plugs were European. Had there been some indication I would not have ordered them

Received our lamps in which looks wise are nice but the larger of the two came broken. One of the bulb housings was hanging loose the bolt inside had slipped and it had yanked the blue wire out of the component itself. We had to do some surgery and reposition the wire back in it’s socket. A bit frustrating to say the least.

Ordered a floor lamp. Arrived with European plug no good in UK. Phoned and received good service and plug arrived within 3 days. BUT... The plug didnt fit so I was backwards and forwards to local shop. In the end spent £5 on European Adaptor. Not much I know but if this had been bought as a present it wouldn't look good

I would love to give this lamp 5 as I love the style. BUT! the plug that comes with the lamp is one to fit in Europe, they do send an adaptor but it does not fit!! Absolutely impossible for it to stay on and keeps popping off as it’s too small, but £35 I would expect the lamp to have a proper plug for me to use in the UK

confusion on my part about address section on your site, and goods were delivered wrongly, although I emailed almost immediately and phoned early on Monday 5th July and was assured that it would be corrected.. But delivered one day earlier than specified. Assembly not too bad but plug became a bit hot once plugged in.

Long delivery time which is not even worth to wait. Lamp I ordered arrived marked and scratched. When I asked for exchange they said it will take up to 10days after when they’ll receive damage lamp back. (+ it’s holiday time so even longer!)Joke! Lamp wasn’t packed properly that’s why it’s scratched. Never again.

The 4 lamps I purchased from you had to be modified by myself because the screws that hold the glass in place were too long, fortunately I am an engineer and had a tap and dye set in my workshop so I drilled out the holes and re taped the threads. These lamps could not be modified by your average buyer. Bad

The light I ordered is very cheap a flimsy, definitely not worth money. The returns process has been overly complicated: printing customs declaration in triplicate (thanks Brexit); UPS website not recognising company's account number; etc, etc. So neither worth the money, nor the hassle to return.

Your choice of delivery company, Yodel. Still waiting for delivery, tracked parcel yesterday, driver went past house and then reported they couldn't find it. Keep getting fobbed off that it will be delivered today.. Not happy. Feel like sending it back if and when it arrives as needed it urgently.

The lamp came and needed screwing together but did not fit so had to be forced using tools and scratched the paintwork in the process. And it came with a European plug so had to get an adapter. No information on the website about this. Disappointed as lamp cost a lot of money and had many faults

The 2 lights and 4 bulbs were very poorly packed and as a consequence the box arrived badly damaged. The 2 lights appear to be ok but will only know for sure when they are installed. One of the bulbs was damaged and I reported this by telephone and email and they agreed to to refund this item.
