After re-building the brakes on the wife's bike two days before a holiday then her riding over to donnington for a training day we found the lever was too far from the bar for her to reach it (with the previous rubbish brakes she could just reach) so we needed an urgent solution.
Called evotch about their cranked levers (closer to the bar) and explained the situation. This was at about 2:30 in the afternoon.
The team pulled all the stops out and within minutes swung into action sorting out special couriers and delivery which meant that the holiday would be able to go ahead.
The levers arrived at 9AM the next morning and fitted in minutes. Also mightily impressed with the quality (far better than the standard levers). The wife was well happy with both the improved reach and feel in the lever on the 10 day trip to france.
Thanks folks for saving the day.
1. The bike shown in the mounting instruction is the Trident 660, not the Tiger Sport 660. The Tiger has a different handle-bar mounting (frontside wider than side to the driver), therefore a mounting as depicted is not possible, you have to mount it in the front position. To gain a sufficent position of the TomTom, you have to turn the middle part of the holder or the complete holder by 180 degrees, otherwise it rises too high and obstructs the view of the instruments.
Even if it's mounted this way, you have to look rather downwards to look at your nav because it's located too near to the driver. Not the ideal position.
2. The bracket of the TomTom is mounted fix, you cannot remove it. Not really good looking.
3. There are no informations about the torque you have to use for the screws (26Nm?) and the order in which you have to tighten the screws (first front, then back?) of the handle-bar holder. It seems to be not unimportant, because at the backside there is a small air gap between the handlebar holder and the fork bridge. If you tighten the screw too firmly, it may result a crack in the handlebar holder.
3. The finish of the holder is good, but the making of it is not rocket-technology. In relation to the above mentioned issues, it's really too expensive. I'd would not buy again and replaced it by a solution with standard ram-mount-parts.
