I have bought many, many items from Peter Hahn and enjoyed wearing them very much. Much of their stock is above my price range but careful searching through the Sale pages is often rewarding. It's been particularly good of late when an extra 30% was being deducted from the sale price. But now I learn that the firm is no longer to trade in GB and clothingI'm quite devastated by this

I would usually give five stars but recently I ordered 3 pairs of jeans. The website said that all were in stock. After some time waiting, I made a call and was told they were waiting for one pair. I hadn’t asked for them to be sent together so asked that the two in stock pairs be sent immediately. I waited another couple of weeks, nothing. I called again. They were still waiting for one pair but the two in stock had still not been sent. I cancelled the whole order. Something seems to be happening, we were unable to track the status of orders online. It will be a while before I order anything again

Since your disastrous IT issues of many months I have held back from ordering, just so much hassle and failed orders and failed system. I started today with hope, IMMEDIATELY the registration I was forced to do failed everywhere, I have been a very busy customer of Peter Hahn for decades, still I need to do this farcical 'registration over and over, nothing 'customer number' on any emailed order conf, NOTHING and as recently as September, NO customer number so delving for paper ones. ALSO you keep promising free P&P but it NEVER comes and nowhere to delete it! COME ON PH, get your act together!! You used to be perfection ...and now what happened?

The ordering process is pretty simple and the goods are of high quality. No issue. But exchanging goods for a size up or down is not. You have to return the goods and then reorder, incurring postage. When you return things, there is no automatic acknowledgement that P Hahn has received them and is processing the refund, which many other retailers do. Also, I don't see the need for the big boxes used. You are a good retailer, with great choice, but you need to refine things more to make you great and easier to buy from. Sorry, if this sounds harsh, but it is meant in a constructive way.

The goods are first class and I like them. The downside is that delivery times are poor. Peter Hahn claim that they do not take payment until the goods have left their warehouse. This is not true. I notice that the payment is taken from my credit card soon after sending the order. A few days later I am told that my order is on its way. It then takes at least a week before it arrives. I can only assume that the warehouse in not in the UK. So, first class all round unless you want the goods in a hurry.

Since the system change Peter Hahn has changed. Peter Hahn was once a 100% reliable company. Now I’m waiting months for refunds or even for orders to be delivered. I still can’t check my orders or returns online and have to call several times to get anywhere. After months you should thing the system change over is in place and everything is in working order again. I’m still waiting since many weeks for a cardigan to be delivered and not even receive a message regarding the delay.

Fantastic collection of good quality clothes and shoes. Everything I have bought, which is plenty, has been lovely. The website is very well thought out with the filters so you can find exactly what you are looking for. Also hovering on the colour choices without having to click and go into the product I like. Takes a bit longer than usual for delivery which is why I gave 4 stars. But a brilliant shopping experience.

Returns service in need of improvement

The goods were too big for me and I needed to return for a refund. There was a prepaid return label enclosed, my invoice but no return form. I emailed customer service twice and each reply said to complete the return form! I then telephoned customer service and was advised that “sometimes the system didn’t print the return form”. I returned the goods on the 22/08/2023 with my invoice and noted on the invoice the reason for the return. I have not yet received my refund. I telephoned customer service on 01/09 and was told the goods were received and it could take up to 14 days for a refund to be made. I am not a happy customer.

Thank you for your review. As stated in our T&C's we do ask to allow 7-14 days from the date you send the parcel back for a refund to be made. We did have an error with our invoice machine but this has since been rectified and all parcels are being dispatched with invoices. We apologise sincerely for the inconvenience caused at this time. I was a bit disappointed. The system charged me full price for a couple of items, even although my screen showed that 40% discount had been applied before I paid. Interaction with customer services was disappointing in relation to getting the overcharge refunded. I had to wait until my order arrived to see if I was going to keep the two items and then it was to be resolved. I kept one item and returned the other, but of course the amount refunded wasn't correct which meant yet another interaction with customer services. Disappointing overall.

ordering was simple. However !!

ordering was simple However, your refund service is extremely slow. I am still waiting for a refund which should have been credited to my card, especially as the warehouse has confirmed that you have received my return over 2 weeks ago. The two items were only returned as they were a poor fit, as all the other items I received have fitted well. Apparently this is a computer fault as you have recently commissioned a new system. A not good enough excuse as far as I and probably others are concerned.

Slow, costly process.

The goods took a long time to come - approx2weeks. Money taken on ordering. I know the goods come from Germany but why so long to come? I had to make a return of the goods to Devon. Actually had to contact Peter Hahn as I knew they had had my return for I0 days yet there was no refund. Miraculously my refund was processed that day!!! Companies far bigger than PH can process goods very quickly eg M&S so what are PH doing other than keeping customers’ money for too long!M

I ordered a pair of sandals on the 5th June (Size 3) and was informed that there was a slight delay in delivery. When I had not received them on the 30th June I contacted them to be informed that they did not know how long the delay would be. I cancelled my order. I would have liked to be informed earlier, so that I could have found alternatives. The size is difficult to find. I am pleased with the promptness which the query was processed.

For some reason I found difficulty in applying the Promotion Code, in contrast to the voucher code, which was very clear and easy to apply. It would also be very helpful if you could indicate approximately how long until the item will be delivered. Could there be advice given concerning safe place of delivery if I'm out, eg. Porch or in alcove. Would it be possible to text or email me when the item was despatched?

Nice shoes, terrible delivery service.

A few days after I placed my order, I received an email saying that, due to 'system changeover ', my order was delayed. It eventually arrived nearly 3 weeks after I ordered. I was offered 'compensation ' in the form of a voucher for £20 off a full-priced item over £75, but I was not inclined to give them any more of my money; a refund of the £4.95 postage charge would have been much more appropriate.

The clothes are fabulous but…

The clothes are fabulous, well made and well designed, especially for a tall woman. However, the website is not wonderful with issues over card payments not being accepted, without it being clear what had happened. In addition their communication is poor, far more email updates would resolve apparent lack of progress. Also, returns take a long time to process and the wait for refunds is very lengthy.

Ordered two sweaters mid April. As they had not arrived by the beginning of June I phoned to see what had happened. The member of staff was extremely helpful, explaining there had been a fault with the computer system. I received one sweater a few days later but no explanation about the other item. Peter Hahn’s clothing is very good quality but the customer service could be better.

Their delivery timescale is poor, much poorer than others selling similar goods. They need to improve upon these timescales or be much more upfront with their service delivery capabilities. From researching their 'feedback', they obviously have a major problem with 'customer perception', which does not instil confidence in their ability to timeous deliver their products.

I love the catalogues, website, quality and range BUT I hate the long delay between ordering and receipt of the goods. I placed an order for two in stock items three weeks ago and still haven't had them. This is really very poor customer service . I understood that there was recently a reorganisation which was intended to improve the situation - it clearly hasn't.!

Mixed views

The clothing is of excellent quality. Unfortunately the time taken to receive the goods is far too long & I often feel that I want to cancel the order. I have currently ordered things to be worn on particular occasions & have been most disappointed not to receive them on time, I am still waiting to receive an item which was ordered in May.

Delivery is too slow purchases can take up to two weeks or more. Your on line redeeming code claimed so far never worked I am having to ask by email for refund. Only to be told by rerun email that I was too late and will be refunded if I keep the goods. How by emailing again to inform you that I am keeping the goods? Not a good system.
