From order to delivery of the MeacoDry Arete One 10L dehumidifier was less than 24 hours - fantastic. I was particularly pleased that there was no delivery charge. The unit looks good, is very quiet and easy to use, and collected impressive amounts of water in our large cold rooms during recent dank weather. We appreciated the helpful booklet - so many manufacturers these days just refer you to websites for instructions. Not so with Meaco. Another great feature is the ease of use of the company's website, where I registered the product to confirm our warranty. My final positive comment about the website relates to the background and values of this UK company. The feature "Our Story" details this, and allows you to understand why Meaco has won so many awards for its products. Why go to a distributor when you can buy direct with such a quality of service?

I purchased 2 rather expensive dehumidifiers for our home use, they are rather heavy to lift and move about because the caster wheel feet don’t come with the product and you have to purchase them separately at another expense to me , the cost being £49.98 for 2 sets for the 2 dehumidifiers I’d purchased, I think I’m being rather generous giving 3 stars when realistically 1 star would have also be to higher score, shall we say the stars are for the product and not the fact that your company sponged another £49.98 for something that should come with the product complete, I’m guessing that i wont be the only person to mention this in a review, do the right thing and refund the cost of the casters, regards Len Aaron

Incorrect fan cover!

Wrong fan cover sent even though fan number was labelled! Expectation of printing sticky labels to return wrong item. On the plus Customer Services were helpful.

Using DPD as courier a VERY BAD IDEA! I was out when they delivered and instead of leaving the filter in a safe place they dropped it off to *their* collection point which was a petrol station two miles away in the next village! Even when my son took the card to collect they asked for a QR code (not everyone has a smart phone) and asked for ID to collect. Worse delivery experience ever :-( Free delivery not worth the time and hassle. Good company and good product let down by appalling courier.

There was a lot of firms to fill in before I could return my faulty product. Item was dealt with very promptly once returned and was told a report on the machine would be forwarded to me. This has never been received.

Thank you for your review, fan storage bags are provided free of charge (excl. 260c & 1056P) when purchases are made directly via Meaco URL, this is also mentioned in the text of the fans on the website. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Delivery Cost

Was quoted £20 to send some filters to NI, when this is free elsewhere. £20 is acceptable when sending a machine but not for some filters. I contacted customer services regarding this but there was no flexibility shown or acceptance that the charge was excessive. This is an issue which should be reviewed by Meaco (regarding small items) as these items are part of the ongoing customer experience and use of the machines. I'm happy with my machine but think Meaco can really do better in this regard.

Window kit supplied did not fit

Window kit supplied did not, as described, fit the sliding door for our room. It was too short. Advised over phone by Meaco "to use a piece of cardboard"! After not accepting this statement as appropriate for an item costing £299.99 I was sent an additional length of panel for the window kit.

I bought the dehumidifier on 4th and the website said it would be delivered on the 5th. However, the delivery was on the 9th. No place where you can make a complaint.

The wheel holder broke off

One of the wheel holders on my dehumidifier broke off and the wheel fell off. The holders are made out of thin plastic which is not good enough to support the weight of a heavy machine such as Meaco 25L dehumidifier. Meaco's response was that was an accidental damage which was not true. They sent me an email asking me to take some more pictures and maybe they said we'll ask you to send the dehumidifier to us for an inspection. I just gave up. My dehumidifier is under warranty.

Thank you for your review. We are very sorry to hear you had an issue with your dehumidifier purchased from John Lewis in January 2022. We have not come across this situation before, and have sold thousands of these machines, none of which have had this issue. A member of our Customer Service Team was in contact with you regarding this, however we unfortunately did not hear back from you. Anther email was then sent to you and your unit was collected under warranty. Our engineers advised that it was unfortunately unrepairable, and due to this, you were provided with a replacement dehumidifier. We can only offer our apologies for any inconvenience that might have been caused.
