Plants were healthy and delivered in just a few days . All good experience from start to finish . Great website ----- good info and timely updates on purchase. I have a 23 year old garden and am by the sea with a windy wet climate so gardening is a challenge . Never very cold but always quite wet . Hydrangeas and Berberis along with a handful of other shrubs and perennials survive nicely here so my garden has always brought me many compliments . My recent purchases from you will of course further enhance my garden.

Dead, rotten and unrecognisable plants sent!!! I have received my order and I have never seen anything like this before: dead, rotten, mouldy and unrecognisable plants. This must be some joke or I don’t even know what to call it. There is no way, you can plant them. I just want my money back and someone to collect that stuff, as I am not wasting more money to send those plants back. I already paid more than 120 euro.

Shipping took to long to start, not to deliver but to start. Order wasn't shipped until a week after and took too long for the cost. I can order items from China for less money and free shipping. Suggest they read their reviews also

The hydrangea you received develops its foliage on the new year's growth and not on the old wood. Plant please what you have received the order is guaranteed 2 months. If you don't see any growth, please contact our customer service department before the end of the 2-month growth guarantee period with photos of the planted products they will be replace (if we have them in stock or refund). Shipping cost to Ireland is about €14.95 and goes directly to DPD courier we do not own money with shipping.

Lavendar plants arrived withered and in poor shape. I have repotted the plants in fresh compost and hope at least one will recover. Lesson learned. I have ordered live plants from Mr Middleton and tgey arrived in tip top shape and condition. Just saying.

Unfortunately it is clear that the plants in the photo have suffered heat damage in transit. Please contact our customer service for a new shipment or a refund.

Slightly disappointing

-Website had suffix ".ie" (Rep. Of Ireland domain) Plants shipped from Netherlands -Business doesn't appear to have more than a token physical address to claim .ie. This is entirely within the law but personally I find this practice dishonest. -Flowers picked were listed as good for shaded areas, upon arrival packaging stated they were suitable for direct sun. -Upon arrival one plant was in reasonable condition with some slight damage, to be expected shipping overseas ( and why I chose a supposed Irish website to prevent this) and the other plant was badly crumpled into the same packaging. Again, nothing illegal about this practice, however, I will avoid in future. This is entirely my own experience.

We do not keep secret the fact that we are based in Holland, our physical address is clearly visible on the site and we pay taxes to the 22 countries where we ship which also brings in currency in these various countries. Vinca minor and climbing rose can be planted in sun or partial shade. We've been shipping to Ireland for over 20 years and are proud to have customers in 22 European countries with the lowest prices on the market.

Brown spot!

Received 20 plants,10 had brown spot and 5 were wilted and in poor health. I didn't expect to have sick plants sent to me. This brown spot didn't happen over night in the box. All the roots had completely outgrown the pots they were shipped in, although these did look healthy, they should have been in the ground with roots that long. I also, and its my own fault, didn't realise that just because the company has a dot IE website, it does not mean they are based in Ireland. I wouldn't usually buy plants that need shipping like this. I buy local plants and Ireland based suppliers to prevent receiving wilted and poor quality plants. Ti.e will tell if these plants can be revived.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that the plants do not meet your expectations. We supply relatively young plants that have been grown outdoors, so they require little adjustment and will continue to grow quickly. Also can all information be found on our website under customer service. If there are plants that do not develop as desired, you can always claim our guarantee.

I received 6 plants towards the end of last week 28/04/23 and two of those plants look dead. Last rights wouldn't even save them. I can't understand 12cm pots with a two foot stick coming out of them. 2 sticks in each pot these may be good at a later stage when the plant grows. I understand for packaging etc etc but could be done better. This is not the first time I have received plants from Gardens4You in this state.

Blueberry and rubus doesn't have leaves and can appear dead on arrival, that is the time of year we have -1ºC at night and 9ºC right now in the beginning of May normally in other years the leaves are already out but this year it is very cold. If you scratch away a small section of bark with your finger nail with will see that the bark is green underneath. Once planted the plants will grow normally.

Mother Nature Apparently

I bought from this site before I realised the company is based in the Netherlands and that the plants would be arriving from there. I wanted to support an Irish company. Hey ho. I ordered ten plants from the sale. There is a visual disparity shall we say between a shrub advertised and the one I received, although the label says it is indeed the shrub I ordered so how can I complain? Two grasses arrived half-dead and the bushes had been cut perhaps to fit the packaging box but probably just to cut off the many dead twigs. To be fair, customer service did respond. Initially, when they gave me the wrong tracking number and then when I sent them photos complaining about the poor condition of part of my order. To give you an idea as I can't post photos onto Trustpilot, one browning and dehydrated grass had been cut like a square of turf and pressed into a small plastic pot. Anyone who cares about plants wouldn't treat them this way. A company who respects their customers wouldn't sell such bad quality products. Customer service told me that the dead leaves and branches were part of the natural process, having been "exposed to wind, sun and rain". And "don't worry, just remove the leaves by hand". That "once planted in the garden, it will grow harmoniously with the seasons for many years to come". So Mother Nature to the rescue apparently. By the way, I told the company I would have to leave a disappointed review. They should be used to it by now.

Plants grown outside can sometimes have spots - not a disease, but the result of wind, rain or sun. In nature, plants with immaculate foliage do not exist. Removing the leaves is more effective than treating them, because it's useless: once removed, new leaves will develop.

I ordered two standard plants and an Astilbe Fiery Red. I received only 2 standard plants was so disappointed as I really wanted the Astilbe. Was told to search box again as it was in cardboard. Searched @nd recycled no luck. Refund given. Two expensive to send Astilbe.

The astilbes were roots in a small bag filled with plastic soil stuck in the fold of the cardboard. Alas the root was not found we refunded the €3,50 rather than sending back a parcel with all the Co2 that this entails. Nature and the environment is something we are sensitive to.

I was disappointed to be honest. I thought they were expensive for what I received. Hopefully they will grow as they are roots and then a very small plant of witch hazel which need alot of care to get ir established.
