Terrible packaging meant plants arrived in a poor state.

SAVE money, BUY local. Plants arrived out of pots, practically all were twigs. Tried contacting G4U 3 times over a month, every time to receive emails stating they are too busy to respond. As soon as i go through trusted shops they respond within a few hours refusing to give me a refund unless I return the goods. I then have to pay to return and under current times i feel this is unacceptable!

Plants crushed and broken when arrived, emailed them to let them know, received an acknowledgment 7 days ago and still no response. DONT ORDER WITH THIS COMPANY £55 thrown away.

Plants arrived from a differently named company so not sure if this company is just a middle man? Most of the plants were in a sorry state and beyond help. I have sent emails and photos but still no response. Gave them a reasonable time to respond before writing this review. Would not use again and would not recommend. One to be avoided.

Could you tell us what the problem was with your order knowing that we have a guarantee on your entire purchase your comment is quite vague.

My duo apple tree is virtually dead. Leaves droopy and curled. DPD delivery was very disappointing. They said they would deliver on Friday 22nd and would leave if I wasn’t home. They did come, but didn’t leave the tree and didn’t redeliver until Monday. Another 3 days in a box has obviously not helped the tree. I have emailed customer service and asked for a refund, but no response yet

There is always one way to know if something is dead or not and that's by scratching the bark hard with your thumbnail and if it’s green under the bark then it’s alive and will grow in spring ans summer. However if it’s brown when you scratch, then it’s dead or dying. And in this case just contact us for your free replacement or your money back.
I did not receive this order. It was delivered to Woodwarde Road, but not to 37 or 43, Apparently it was seen left on a garden wall, and an opportunist thief took it. I did not receive my order!

Certainly would not use this company again ordered items beginning of April and at end of May still awaiting items. No correspondence from company no apologies very poor customer service.

You placed an order on the 16th (saturday), it was shipped on 19th and delivered in Edinburgh on 22nd.
Don't order from this firm have two orders outstanding one from 12/05/20 20/05/20 not one order delivered yet. All I am getting emails saying sorry for the delay be with you soon. Due to current outbreak of COVID-19 we have had to make some changes to our ways of working and operations. Order from Gardening Direct recived order with in 4 Days from Holland thats good service.

You ordered on the 18th, it was shipped on the 20th and delivered on the 22th....
I would not purchase any plants from here again. Very disappointed. I had been told I would receive a full refund for my purchase over £67 they are now saying That they will refund me £17. I am not happy at all with this company.

It is clear and regrettable that there has been a misunderstanding about what is reimbursed under our guarantee. We offered you to refund in full all the potted plants damaged. the rest of the order was composed of bare roots and they was undamaged, they just need to be soaked in water prior to be planted.

Ordering the plants was easy from the website, delivery of plants was awful, the plants were just thrown in a box, causing them to be throw around during transport. When I received them, they were broken and dead. Not happen with this service at all. Have contacted customer service and have not had a reply about my complaint.

It may happen that plants may not look at their best on arrival, from experience we know that plants recover after a drink of water and 48 hours in the fresh air. Our advice is to give the plants time till their blooming period, our plants may be small, but the power of the plant is in the root! Rest assured that your order is guaranteed if the plant(s) don’t recover and establish with time.
i never recieved my item and subsequent emails were no replied to. despite contacting them on 4 seperate occassions. it was past the point where i could get a refund from the buyer protection. so i am out of pocket and have no plants. really disappointed as i had purchased from them before and was really happy. wont be using them again.
