Don't let the "VSOP" designation fool you into thinking this is a sub-par cognac. In my humble opinion it sits on the palate more smoothly than most big brand XO's I've tried and has far more character than the price tag would suggest.
I suspect a lot of this has to do with the fact that it isn't a big-brand product (see the tasting notes on the website) and so has been prepared with a little more care than would be normal.
I don't know and, frankly, I don't care. It's my favourite cognac and that's all I can say at my level of (in)expert knowledge.
I recommend it wholeheartedly.

I ordered a single bottle of 1971 Bordeaux 5eme cru on March 5th to ensure delivery on 25th March for a special 50th birthday present. It is now March 30th and it still has not been delivered. The recipient has been promised it for tomorrow but you only have one 50th birthday and that occasion has been diminished.

The Cork was impossible to remove as it just disintegrated into the bottle, and the wine was undrinkable.

Same day dispatch and recipients were thrilled with the item - it certainly sounded as though it looked as good as the picture. I ordered two identical gifts and DHL only supplied tracking information for one but Winedancer dealt with my query quickly and efficiently when I phoned to check that both orders had been sent. I would have no hesitation in using this business again. Highly recommended.

Gift arrived as and when it should which is a big plus. However no gift card included (although this was completed online to be include with the gift) so recipient did not know who the gift was from initially. No notification from company to advise gift was being sent or delivery tracking information which is always useful. It is always good to know your gift is on it's way and has been received.

Hi, All in all it's a great service, but I got slightly confused, I wanted the gift box engraved, it asked for a message to put on a card, I thought this mesage would be engraved on the box, for the price that I paid for it, instead my colleague received the winie in the box, with a card and the message on that.
It never flagged an engraving message to me at any point during the purchase.

You had added the words on the card, after that you should have sent your logo to enable us to print on the leather, sorry for the confusion but we have now added a box below the wording for the card box to try
and make this more obvious.
If you wish to send us your logo now we can print a sample and despatch the faux leather box to you.

Have yet to drink the wine so can't comment on the contents of the bottle. But it is what I ordered. Delivered in a beautiful wooden gift box. They also brought the delivery date forward to deal with lockdown, and the lady on the phone could not have been nicer or more helpful. A really good firm.
