What other customers say about their experience with The Slow Cyclist

The trip was carefully and competently organized. The staff -all 6- were top notch. The food and accommodation were both excellent. The bikes were well maintained. (A total contrast to the trashy bikes I used on a recent Eurobike trip) The true test of a good trip is none of these. It is the reading on the fun-o-meter. This dial was full on, largely to to humor and care from the staff. WELL DONE.

We had a fantastic holiday in Rwanda. We found the country increadibly beautiful and the people exceptionally friendly. However, what made the holiday so enjoyable was the immaculate organisation, professionalism and friendliness of the whole Slow Cyclist team. Nothing was ever too much and they went well beyond what was expected. The trip was planned with imagination and attention to detail.

A fabulous holiday. Rwanda is a beautiful country with wonderful people and cycling (on an e-bike - highly recommended) was the perfect way to see it. The whole of the slow cyclist team were brilliant, their organisation and planning was immaculate, we could not have been looked after any better and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Thank you very much.

Everything about this trip was wonderful. All details were well planned. Mountain bikes were of a high standard. There were different styles of accommodation each night but also always of a high standard. The food was delicious and varied and there were plenty of G&Ts and nice South African wines each night. The countryside in Rwanda was stunning and a delight to travel through.

an amazing adventure and a real assault on the senses. Cycling through Rwanda will forever be in the memory, an amazing country and wonderful people. The tour was so well organised and impeccably executed and all involved could not have been more accommodating. They don't call Rwanda the land of 1000 hills for nothing, but it is well worth the effort.

Wow, wow, wow It’s my first time doing a cycle tour and I’m now a convert Rwanda is an amazingly beautiful country and doesn’t need much help to make you fall in love with her, but the Slow Cyclist made the whole trip so perfect. The guides were so knowledgable and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Can’t wait for my next trip with them

The Rwanda trip is an absolute must for anyone who has an interest in Africa and a sense of adventure. The country is stunning and its’ people so warm, friendly and welcoming. Cycling through villages, towns and countryside & staying in local accommodation, we enjoyed a very authentic and genuine experience. At every stage of our journey we felt, and were, safe and secure. Rwanda Nov 19 - 5 Stars all the way. Amazing trip across an amazing country. Oli / Jaco and the team allowed us to enjoy the ride, at our own pace, with plenty of interesting stops on the way. All accommodation was great, as was the organisation, food, drink and company. I won't hesitate to book with the Slow Cyclist again. Thank you

Just back from Rwanda - what a beautiful and fascinating country and what a fabulous week spent with fun, kind and hospitable people. The Slow Cyclist team were truly outstanding hosts, making for a gloriously (mentally) restful holiday. The team added lots of nice little touches to the trip to make it a unique and wonderful holiday. One tip - take an ebike - they are great and add to the fun

We have just returned from a magical week in Rwanda. This was one of the finest weeks you can experience. Brilliant organised and led by the Slow Cyclist team with Jaco at the helm, ably supported by Godfrey, Jado,Bosco,Alex and Milly. They say Rwanda is a country of a thousand hills , but we left with a thousand memories. This is a must do experience.

Our trip to Transylvania two years ago was one of the best holidays I have ever been on, but Rwanda was even better. How the SC team managed to organise such a trip so immaculately in Africa is extraordinary - they even provided fluffy pillows. Jaco was incredible, ably supported by Milly and the wonderful African team. Recommend an electric bike so you can enjoy the outstanding views

Slow Cyclist is the most wonderful way to see and really get to know a country. Having just returned from the experience of a lifetime visiting Rwanda and Uganda with them we loved every minute. Cycling the hills, with our team of outriders who were fabulously knowledgeable, organised and dedicated to meeting our every need. Nothing was too much trouble. I would go again in the blink of an eye

Just back from an amazing trip to Rwanda. Beautifully organised and a fantastic itinerary - no stone left unturned - amazing lunches & landscapes Totally professional guides and drivers. All overseen by Jaco who was charming, fun and the consumate professional. Nothing phased him - and he even managed to organise viewing the rugby world cup final in the gorilla park office Highly recommend

We went to Zagori as a group of six couples in late September. We all loved it and appreciated the local knowledge and cycling expertise of Lefteris, the fascinating historical and cultural input from Josh, and overall calm management of everything by Bree, with charm from them all. Arrive at an empty village and they get the church full of frescoes opened and buy your drinks. Highly recommended

Just completed a wonderful family holiday in Transylvania in 4th week of October. Ages ranged from mid 70s (on electric bicycles) down to grandchildren from 17 down to 12 yo (no electric) The weather and autumn colours were wonderful. Our guides were very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and flexible, the routes chosen offered options for the less energetic and the food and accommodation was excellent.

A very enjoyable trip, enhanced by the excellent ground crew who were delighted to share their knowledge of a place they so clearly love. Milly the host couldn't have done more for us. The various guest houses were characterful, we were well fed and watered at them all, and at the great lunch stops we made. The bikes and equipment were excellent. Would love to go on another Slow Cyclist trip.

From start to finish we were well looked. Dream team led by Millie Wigan. We enjoyed great countryside, easy cycling on perfect bikes and comfortable accommodation. We lleaned much about the history and came back refreshed and invigorated. I would go again tomorrow. What a privilege, what fun. Thank you. Hamish Leng
