Now on to the bike. Once the package was received, everything was very neatly placed inside the box. The bike was mostly pre-built (as advertised) and all it took was a little assembly of the front tyre, handlebars and the seat which already attached to the seatpost. This was simple enough and there are instructions as well as online videos to help. The bike rides well, the quality is great and totally justifies the cost. Overall a great experience, I totally recommend.
Very poor communication from them. Asked for additional items to be added to order and received no reply. Had no feedback on length of time my ebike would take to be delivered. Courier did not contact me and 'Track my parcel' app simply showed it in transit. I phoned them (no phone number on their email) and they promised to get driver to contact me 1/2 hour before delivery, as they will not give any indication of delivery time. They did not, so it was a good thing that my doorbell has a camera on it, so I could see them arrive.
Ebike assembly instructions were generic, incorrect and did not detail specific parts of the assembly, such as how to get the Shimano Di2 gears to work.
Contacted Bikester for assistance and they took over a week to respond. Their advice was to take it to a local bike shop!
Bikester seem to think that because they are busy and dealing with coronavirus, that they can forget customer service because of heavy bike sales.
My recommendation is - buy elsewhere.

Asked to rate but still waiting to receive my order! Why?
Time taken to process, dispatch and receive order is way too long. This isn't communicated clearly when making a purchase online.
Assuming all branded products I have ordered are accurate and not faulty I can only recommend using Bikester.com if you're not in a hurry. Wiggle, even with their free delivery service usually gets your order to you within 3 working days.

Received my ebike in a reasonable time but came with the battery cover not fitted correctly and a screw retaining the cover missing.
I managed to refit the cover properly but am told that the missing screw is not available as a spare part...
Nothing I can not solve myself but would have liked not having to look for the proper screw myself!
Waited a week, still not got my order,
I believe now that it’s coming from Germany
If I had known that I would of gone elsewhere, I needed the item for my job, not good enough really is it?

We ship all our products from our warehouse in Germany. There was a small delay in dispatch, due to increased orders. However, we were happy to see that your order arrived within 5 days after the dispatch date.

You can reach us by email. Unfortunately we have a high volume. We will take care of your request as soon as possible.
The delivery was quick and everything was fine for nearly 4 months. Then the peddles stopped turning. It took more than 6 weeks to get the bike 'fixed' and back to me. Then we were in lockdown, as lockdown eased I started cycling again and the peddles stopped turning again, so it clearly wasn't fixed. It then took 4 weeks to get a reply. Don't seem to understand the Consumer Rights Act either

We are sorry to hear this. We were experiencing absolutely unprecedented demand for our products during the height of the pandemic. This put a strain on all departments and cause a significant back log which prevented us from responding and taking action as quick as we would have liked.
We can also see that the item has been returned and refunded.

Tracking was a joke, said it was in was in its final stage "out for delivery" for 6days before package was finally delivered. Try to contact customer service via email(since phones are closed) 2times, that gave no response. I also try to locate a phone number to the tracking company, which I could call to follow up my package. This was also impossible since Hermes uses a 16digit ref. and not 20.

Unfortunately we have no control over how third party carriers choose to operate their tracking and packages. Customer service enquiries have exploded due to extreme demand and this regrettably sometimes prevents us from replying as quick as we like. All cases are dealt with and resolved.
Ordered 2 bottles pump spray bottle of mcnett revivex.
Received two bottles of aerosol mcnett revivex. No email about substitution or change to order. Nothing.
I just hope it works as well as the pump spray one that was pictured on the website that I wanted to receive.
I’m in the UK and the stores in Germany. Not easy to return. Would think twice about using the store again

The assembly instructions that came with the whole are awful, it takes customer services ages to get back to you. Upon building the bike I have found an issue and can’t confirm with anyone if there is something I have got wrong in the build process or it is the bike.

Unfortunately with the increased orders once lockdown was eased we have not been able to provide the same service we were able to before COVID-19. We have been doing our best to get to all the inquiries received but this takes time.
Still waiting delivery 3 weeks after Hermes received it at one of their logistics hubs.
Bikestar customer service responded to my first concern, raised one week ago, but obviously their "nudge" to Hermes has had little effect.
P**d off is putting it mildly!!!!

I ordered gaadi bicycle tuber with schrader valves when I received the tubes they were presta valves.The invoice clearly stated 47 mm Schrader valves.This was my first order and will possibly be my last .Very disappointed with the service

Invoice states "Gaadi inner tube 27.5" 50 / 54-584 Design: SV 47mm"
SV in this case = Sclaverand valve, (not Schrader) This is another name for a Presta valve.
Please use the adapter included in the box and the product will function fine.

There were no emails or attempted contact with the order number, customer name or email address. The item in question was ordered on 14.05.2020 and delivered on 21.05.2020.
