The website that I ordered the furniture from gave a delivery date which was one week. We paid the delivery charge and the transaction went through.
The next day we were informed the goods were out of stock. We offered other goods that we did not want.
We are waiting for the shipment to arrive from India. We should have been informed before the order went through that the goods were out of stock.

Placed an order for a nest of tables which cost 99.00 and paid 9.99 delivery. Received an email saying that it would be an extra 64 delivery charge which is outrageous.
I live in Mainland Scotland and that is the highest delivery charge I have ever seen!. I cancelled my order and got a fast refund. Bought similar item for 99 and paid 9.99 delivery. I live very near Inverness, not across water!!

We deliver to Inverness for the standard delivery fee of £9.95 but postcodes above IV33 are delivered by an external courier as stated on the website due to the high cost to cover this area for a single order. As we clearly state on our website only deliver to the mainland UK using our own delivery team however we do offer an external courier delivery to other areas of the UK that are not on the mainland, full details of costs and areas we cover can be found under the 'delivery' section of the website. Ordered 6 dining chairs, on opening the first box I noticed pen lines on the chairs. On closer inspection both chairs in the box had pen lines on every joint also the second chair was broken. Such a shame as online the chairs looked wonderful. Have asked for return and refund.

I am so sorry that you have had an issue with your order following delivery, on the rare occasion that there is an issue with our furniture we can arrange an exchange and make sure the items are personally checked prior to delivery or as in your case process a full refund including the initial delivery charge and I can see that we returned to collect these from you within 7 days following delivery
